A new diginet called Nest TV goes on the air on 10-30-23...

It is kinda nice to see American Justice. It seems like A&E kinda hid a lot of them in the archives. They will stream a decent amount but refused to just release them all.

More new diginet coming in January 1st 2024

Has anyone seen the streaming versions of these channels? The365 website acts like it's OTA only even though the article claims FAST as well.....

Will all OTA subchannels be streaming or will many die?

I used to think that with the rate of cord cutting and with so many people now of days with Internet access, that virtually all OTA subchannels would switch to a dual model of streaming and broadcasting. Yet even in a day and age where large station owners like Sinclair are kicking off big...

    HBO Max/Discovery+ Merger

It looks like WD is going to continue to use Roku & Tubi for their free/ad-supported streaming for the time being. https://cordcuttersnews.com/warner-bros-discovery-gives-an-update-on-its-new-free-streaming-service-called-wbtv/?amp=1 It looks like ad-rates are terrible at the moment and WD...

    HBO Max/Discovery+ Merger

Just in case anyone is curious, it looks like WD struck a 1-yr deal with Tubi and probably Roku. I noticed in their source code for the episodes, it says “addedDate 2-23-23” and says “validUntil: 2-23-24” or similar language. I just wish Tubi would add a Warner/Discovery Tab as it seems that...

Sling TV Launches a Free Streaming Service Called Sling Freestream

While Pluto, XUMO, & Tubi seem to have the same content, I did notice that if it's "newer" stuff, Sling will at least have it usually in 1080P while the other 3 normally limit everything to 720P. I actually use a mixture of the services as each one can have their exclusives...

Warner Bros. Discovery is Planning a Free Streaming Service Called ‘WBTV’

They have already added a ton of Discovery+ stuff to Tubi and soon Roku. Virtually every episode of Mysteries at the Museum and every Mysteries at the Monument & Off Limits are both at Tubi right now. So are various “live” channels called WBTV.

    HBO Max/Discovery+ Merger

It is sort of bitter sweet. I have no diss with HMAX, other than I wish it had more classic HBO Shows that I grew up with in the 90s/00s. Anyway, my main niche in streaming is classic tv/documentary/paranormal/crime and Discovery just fits that bill minus the classic tv way better than HMAX...

    HBO Max/Discovery+ Merger

I'm not really sure what's going on with Discovery Plus expanding after just saying that they see getting rid of it.....But now Sling TV customers can get the $5/$7 plans as an addon. https://thedesk.net/2022/08/sling-tv-discovery-plus-subscription/ How are they going to handle making Amazon...

    HBO Max/Discovery+ Merger

I'm somewhat impressed that it took so long for free ad-supported services to be available. I'd say back around 2010-2012, more so when Hulu had it's free tier and Crackle, I imagined tons of linear & VOD free with ads services. Strangely it seemed like it took until like 2019 but more so...

    HBO Max/Discovery+ Merger

I just hate to get a total sticker shock after being a $4.99 DSCP member to all the sudden be like "Ad-Lite is $15 for you now!". If it was something like Discovery+ & Paramount Plus where they said $10 will get you both (that technically would be the price for both with ads right now), that I...

    HBO Max/Discovery+ Merger

See this is where I am very confused based on how most talk online. In so many online discussion places, they act like "The pice will skyrocket" type of talk. Yet at the same time, WarnerDiscovery is doing odd things if they are trying to go with high prices. (E.g. Discovery+ in Roku & HBO in...

    HBO Max/Discovery+ Merger

What I don't get is, if Discovery+ is "going away" so to speak, why did they even bother mid-May adding the $5/$7 tiers to The Roku Channel, especially after HBO yanked it's Hub there? It just seems very confusing overall as I know internationally, Discovery+ is extremely popular by itself. It...

    HBO Max/Discovery+ Merger

I just wonder what this means for people like me with $50/yr for D+, for crime & paranormal. I like HBO Max for stand-up & old classic shows but not enough to jump on at $9.99.
