I called d* today for HD upgrade and they said that the soonest they could send someone out was oct 29th........what???? Can I buy a non dvr HD receiver from best buy and use the 3lnb thats on the roof while I wait. I do not care if I can use only one tv while I wait and I get all local channels...

I am a N.Y transplant living in R.I. I am interested in what kind of set up I would need to get FTA signal from local N.Y stations in HD. Is it possible to watch N.Y football teams in HD over FTA in R.I? What would be my options to try this. Newbie willing to try anything for a taste of home...
