I keep losing about half of my recordings lately. I can get them back when I reset the receiver by hitting the red reset button but the recordings will disappear soon after. Anyone else have this issue?

I don't know if this is available with Directv, but with Dish, I could swap back and forth between 2 channels that I was watching and be able to go back an hour on each channel. Is this possible with the HR34?

Which one has the better DVR? I had DishNetwork for years. I feel the DVR is smarter and much faster with DishNetwork. What does anyone who had both think?

Won't a Hopper cost more to have than a Joey? I'm sure I won't need more recording capability than one hopper.
