    Hopper3 record

Do like what HipKat said for a H3, but click on the "Type" preference. There it will pop up a menu list for you to select either "DVR" or "AutoTune". I just tried it. I can't comment on a H3+ as I don’t have one.

Software Versions for Android TV (ATV) devices - Joey 4, Wireless Joey 4, Hopper Plus

Unless I misunderstood what you meant, that seems to not be true. When go to my 4k Joey’s diagnostics screen, it show the current SW version as k106. And when go to my H3 diagnostics screen, k106 is definitely listed as part of Available Joey Software.

Yet again ... No Hopper-compatible EHD available

Having been through this kind of process many times myself, I recommend that you test drive a couple of less important programs first just to make sure everything works; something you can afford to lose if something goes wrong. When transferring, do only a dozen or so shows at a time. This does...

Yet again ... No Hopper-compatible EHD available

A 3.0 would work just fine. I only recommend a 3.1 because that's the most common, high speed hub types these days. There's a cheap 4 port two charging ports 3.0 one I found on Amazon (about $15). Link below. You don't have to use multiple drives if you don't want to. Using a hub like this is...

Yet again ... No Hopper-compatible EHD available

Yes, self powered hard drives are becoming rare. And the USB ports on a H3 can't supply enough power for most drives (a design flaw in my option). So that leads to the issue you are seeing. The solution is to get a USB 3.1 or better powered hub. A USB 3.1 hub will give you all the bandwidth you...

    Brand new 311

Here’s a blast from the past. I was cleaning out office (many years of clutter) and found a brand new in box, never been opened, never been used Dish Network 311 Receiver (2003 vintage)! I have no idea why I have this thing!?!? I can only guess that Dish sent to me to replace one of my old 501s...

AT&T DirecTV Now Android TV Wireless 4K OTT Client Streaming Player C71KW-400

My bad. I've only been skimming the details and it seemed it was just about a DIRECTV receiver. So much for flash reading comprehension.

This thread should be moved to the DIRECTV forum.

    Moving And installation technician question

I agree. As i said earlier, it never hurts to have another pair of eyes. And in this case I haven’t put in the proper grounding yet (it was a quick install and align). So I’ll let the installer do the grounding for me.

Good advice, it’s always good to have another pair of eyes. Thanks.

    Moving And installation technician question

I have a question for you installers out there. I’m moving to a new address in a week. When calling Dish to change my service address, they insisted on sending out a technician for the move “install”. The issue is that I’ve already moved the dish and recorders to the new address and whole system...
