    LA HD Locals Spotbeam Expanded?

Is the poster in San Luis Obispo? Where does the LA spotbeam end?

    AAD specials?

I wouldn't recommend it. They sold 13 months of HD for the price of twelve, then cut HD service midway through and said no refund but could apply the leftover money to SD. Basically, they do not feel obligated to honor the 13-month contract. If they stop service, you will be unlikely to recover...

WWORHD Under Spotbeam but Outside NY DMA

I know it is quite a stretch. On the other hand, why not offer the superstation pack in HD?

WWORHD Under Spotbeam but Outside NY DMA

Hopefully this is a precursor to offering the entire superstation pack in CONUS HD.

Different resolutions on premium East/West HD channels. Why?

It is worth getting an actual answer to, even if only for intellectual reasons.

    Consequences/How to of "Moving"?

I am wondering what are the spotbeam locations or which are on conus on Direct, specifically with regard to the HD locals in SF, LA, NY, and Chicago. Can anyone direct me to the correct location?

Guy Takes DISH to Small Claims Court and WINS! (Because DISH Didn't Show Up)

Actually it works great for the judges. That is who it is in reality set up to benefit, not the public like they teach us in school. The judges are the ones with the power.

Guy Takes DISH to Small Claims Court and WINS! (Because DISH Didn't Show Up)

The plaintiff must show proof of service on the entity being sued (the defendant) in order to receive a default judgment. It is actually very easy to serve most corporations in most states. The corporation generally must have an agent to accept service of process designated with the office of...

Guy Takes DISH to Small Claims Court and WINS! (Because DISH Didn't Show Up)

If there is an arbitration clause, that would not be relevant at this point. Again, this is an affirmative defense that Dish must assert when sued. If not raised, it is waived. And Dish waived all defenses by not showing up.

Guy Takes DISH to Small Claims Court and WINS! (Because DISH Didn't Show Up)

If the contract says that Dish can only be sued in Colorado, then that is an affirmative defense that Dish must raise when they are sued in another location. If they have failed to appear and a default judgment has been entered, then that defense is waived. If the poster actually has a default...

    4/20/2011 3:16pm - Uplink Activity Report - 64 changes

But why are they on the same channel numbers? That could pose a problem if someone had a setup aimed at both 110 and 72.7.

    4/20/2011 3:16pm - Uplink Activity Report - 64 changes

If you look at prior uplinks, the NY and LA channels are uplinked in both SD and HD, and on the same channel numbers, but different satellites. HD NY and SD LA is on 72.7. HD LA and SD NY is on 110. Can anyone make sense of this? If anyone can make sense of the uplinks, the next questions are...

    An idea for HD RSNs

The plans Dish has for channels are to implement one thing and one thing only: make more money for Charlie. The interests of the subscribers only figure in to the extent that satisfying them makes more money for Charlie. Otherwise, we mean nothing. That goes for all American companies, not just...

    Full Time RSN

This is private enterprise at work. Dish makes the choice about whether to offer HD RSNs full-time. The consumer makes the choice about whether to subscribe to Dish. If sports is a major priority to the consumer, Dish is not the place to be. Look at cable or Direct. If movies and international...
