Dish Scapes on 199 is interesting

So true... the beautiful scenery is a mixture of different environments. Nowhere would you find dry buttes like those of Monument Valley mixed with saguaros of the Sonoran desert, with a fast-flowing river which could only exist in either desert during a flash flood. And dry riverbeds in either...

The flat-topped mesas (pinnacles) resemble those of the Great Basin in northern Arizona and southern Utah. That area does not have saguaro cacti. Saguaros are native to the Sonoran desert of southern Arizona and southeastern California. The one ocotillo shown doesn't grow in the Great Basin...

Re: Kilimanjaro Wildlife... I wish it were so easy to see all the "Big 5" animals from one vantage point !!

The "beeping" appears to be the sound of Godzilla's heavy footsteps. You hear it at each step.

For those of us who get all wrapped up in our Irish heritage, here's a link for you: TuneIn Popout Player This will give you "Irish Pub Radio". Also, anyone who has Internet Radio, search for it. It's musical, lively, and happy. A good complement for watching Dish Scapes' "Dunguaire Castle."

    Loyal Dish customer longevity

I've got a photo of my installed single LNB dish taken on October 9, 1996. I remember getting the DISH kit and self-installing it when there was only the 119 satellite. Back in those early days I re-pointed to the sats at 61 and 148 after they were launched just to see if I could get them. My...

An ibex, or some similar animal walks in the forefront from right to left at about 0:23 after the hour. And the spotted tiger (or something similar) that crosses left to right at about 0:40 past the hour. I didn't realize there were tigers in the Egyptian desert.

Whose ancient Egyptian statue is it that pops up out of the sand for about 5 seconds at 0:16 after the hour?

That is the sound DISH provides when they want to make the event sensational, like when Atlantis appeared in the underwater scape. DISH certainly goes overboard in providing unreal background noise.

Finally saw "Bigfoot" at about 52 minutes past the hour. He appears on the left side for about three seconds in the shadows and disappears behind the evergreen tree, not to reappear on the other side. He seems to be wearing a Santa cap, and could be a resident in the main cabin. I agree that...

I haven't seen Bigfoot/Yeti. At how many minutes after the hour does he show up?

So far, there's really "no there, there." Could it be that DISH has a new plan? They want to keep our interest, keep us watching daily, so...... In a day or two they add a couple new things... maybe a bear comes out on the ledge, and a trout jumps out of the water. Then after another day or...

How about that DISH logo on the front of the green building on the right side of the scene?

The street view with buildings is a very close replica of Creek Street in Ketchikan Alaska. Most photos of Creek Street are taken from the very same angle, showing the street built on pilings.
