I agree on Netflix and such but you may also have redbox kiosks around too which can give you instant rentals if you want popular recent movies.

Dish sent me an email yesterday about TV Japan being replaced with Family Gekijo which looks like it has rather old programming. We are moving at the end of May to a different city so will have to do without for a couple months. We're probably going to give PRISM a try.
