    Just bought a Seagate Backup Plus 3TB drive. It took about 10 minutes to format and it shows ad 2793 GB total space and the same number of free space. So I can confirm it recognizes some 3TB drives. I took it out of the box, straight to the hopper, no problem.

    I can't speak to the HD issue. I switched from U-Verse back to Dish. HD quality is about the same. As for my Hopper, I finally put it in the DMZ after opening ports didn't work. Once in the DMZ, it works perfectly. Not sure I care if the hackers get it or not...

    For what it is worth, new customers can sign up today for Hopper with Sling for free. Since I signed up the 15th an install hasn't happened yet, they Are trying to treat me as an existing customer. Having a hard time with their service. I see not much has changes on that front in 2 years.
