Ugh. If SED doesn't make it to market I hope those Aussies that were developing that laser tv get it out otherwise I'm NEVER getting a big screen because I believe in the picture quality over the size. I'll take a technology like CRT that can produce a perfect picture over LCD, Plasma and DLP.

Speaking of the HD-DVD region free issue now would be the time to release some movies that would make fairly nice worldwide sales, "My Sassy Girl" comes to mind.

Excellent point Bob. I know there are some HD-DVD's in Japan I'm going to buy that aren't available here. Is that confirmed the Chinese players will be that cheap? I thought they were going to be more around $200. Regardless if an HD-DVD player debuts at $200 or less by the end of the year...

Agreed on the last statement. Let's be honest though, how much will this affect sales? I mean DVD has been cracked for a while now and still sells fairly well.

I could understand this tax if there were much of a reason but no one's digging up ground all around to plant Cable, it's a Sat Dish placed on the roof for crying out loud.

Except Weinstein and Universal. Good thing considering at least "Sin City 2", "Clerks", "Clerks 2", "Mallrats" and possibly "Chasing Amy" and "Dogma" as well as "Sin City" will be on HD-DVD.

How is it teasing? You saying you want AMC? They edit for time and perhaps content as well as show commercials durinxg the movies so why bother? TCM-HD on the other hand I'd relish.

Does anyone have a link to all the films Universal has the rights to in the U.S.

They still have "Jurassic Park" and many others to release.
