sorry, I didn't word that right. Just do a switch check and the receiver will reset to the new dish. If you encounter problems, do a switch check without the sat line connected. That will clear the memory. Then reconnect the sat line and run the switch check again. Hope this helps.

Your receiver is set to a 500 dish. When you connect it to a 1000 dish you will need to reset the receiver. Go to the setup menu and change the dish setting as well as a switch check. You will need to do it again when or if you connect it to the 500 dish.

provided your settings are correct, mast is plumb, (standing behind the dish) you need to point it a little further right to hit 110/119...you've been hitting 101 but with the wrong LMB. Once you find 101, try setting the receiver signal meter to 119 and move it to the right.

If he's anything like me, he'll be there a lot longer than an hour. He's connecting sat receiver, dvd, sound and maybe a vcr, set up the tv, adjust the settings to your preference, instructions, throw in a couple cables ect.. I know it seems like it should be an hour deal but it never is..

interesting post..I was once told that the cable co(or telco) owns the line to the point of entry of the home plus one foot. Anything beyond that belongs to the home owner and if that line has signal, it belonged to the home owner as well and wouldn't be considdered 'stealing' (ie; you move in...

It will work with dtv. Are you sure it's looking at the right satellite? If your other dish is round, try swapping the dtv lmb with the voom one. If then you don't have signal, the lmb is probably junk. No problem though, just swing by my place and grab one off the large voom pile in my garage! :D

You can buy cell phones all day long without a comitment..I have two. CSR's like you are the reason I hang up and call back to get another that understands the reality that this is ONLY tv. Rules get bent all the time...been doing this since '95. Seems like you just get off on some kinda power...
