    mercury II channel backup

    With the receiver off, start up the ChEditor software (available form the fortec website) from there, you can download/upload your channel list to/from your receiver. The actual channel editor software is kinda crappy tho.

    if you look at the top of the mux, you will see the entire transponder is using Digicypher II. So yes it's encrypted, and btw, that;s on the C band side of g11, requiring a large, large dish.

    if you have an ac3 capable setup, all the dolby digital audio streams on 91w have never been encrypted. I sometimes listen to bpmtv, the screen is black, but the sound is nice.

    I did that too, you can't see in iceberg's picture, but well my setup, the dbs lnb is about 1/2" higher than the ku fss lnb to get optimal signal.
