On Demand can’t watch or delete

Me too--same problem with 1 recorded movie. It's okay that I can't watch it, but I need to delete it.

Recent quality problems with local Twin Cities PBS tpt channel 2

Hooray! Someone (Santa?) somewhere is listening, because yesterday and today tpt channel 2 evening programming has returned to widescreen HD. (At least in the shows I watched.) My thanks and holiday cheer to everyone who contributed here. Have a merry!

Recent quality problems with local Twin Cities PBS tpt channel 2

I have now confirmed that KTCI, tpt channel 17, is now shown as SD (Standard Definition) on my DISH locals, which explains why its programming appears fuzzy and letter-boxed. I had not noticed that change before--thank you, syphix. But KTCA, tpt channel 2, still shows as HD (High Definition) in...

Recent quality problems with local Twin Cities PBS tpt channel 2

So DirecTV figured this out while DISH has not?

Recent quality problems with local Twin Cities PBS tpt channel 2

After some experimentation, I can now report what I see. National PBS programming that fills the widescreen on Lakeland PBS KAWB (channel 22), appears in lower resolution (fuzzy) and boxed on tpt KTCA (channel 2) and KTCI (channel 17). I assume that DISH does some conversion of the incoming...

Recent quality problems with local Twin Cities PBS tpt channel 2

The timing is about right, October 25th, for your analysis to be correct. But how do the ATSC changes affect DISH local channels? And, is it my imagination that some of the tpt programming that used to fill my 4K (non-HDR) HD widescreen now displays in boxes? Also, the DISH guide for the local...

Recent quality problems with local Twin Cities PBS tpt channel 2

Is anyone else in the greater Twin Cities area (mid- and southern Minnesota/western Wisconsin) seeing new problems with tpt channel 2 (KTCA)? (I get all my local stations through DISH, not via antenna.) All programming on tpt 2 is pausing, dropping out, going black, coming back, etc., to the...

Change in fast forward (related to AutoHop?)

Thanks to everyone here for confirming I am not losing my marbles!

Change in fast forward (related to AutoHop?)

Ah-ha! That's the answer. I accidentally enabled PrimeTime Anytime a few weeks ago, then turned it back off. Now I'll check to see that it, and AutoHop, are both off again. Thank you very much!

Change in fast forward (related to AutoHop?)

But I never enabled AutoHop. Could a recent upgrade have turned it on by default?

Change in fast forward (related to AutoHop?)

I love my Hopper 3 on DISH Network, but I'll admit that I don't follow every change in every software upgrade. So I've been surprised recently with a change I've noticed. I've never used AutoHop, but just repeatedly pressed the 30-second fast forward button quickly to skip through commercials in...

2 Recording questions that confuse me!

Better than a surge protector, put the Hopper on an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with surge protection built in. It cost me very little (< $100) to put in a small UPS that gives me a little over an hour of battery power. (Just my opinion--I'm not an engineer.)

What happened to the PBS stations?

That message might be generic, but it's the one we see when the tpt stations in the Twin Cities are undergoing maintenance. They have publicized widely about their upgrade happening in July and August.

DISH Hacked - Websites are BACK ONLINE!

Speaking of 2FA... DISHAnywhere (DA) became available in my Web browser today, the first time since the hack. (There's no DA app on a Windows computer.) However, it's using a new 2FA login method that does not work well for me. It never gives me a prompt for my password; instead, it asks for a...

    Timer default for sports

On an earlier model of the Hopper or a non-Hopper DISH DVR, it was possible to set that sports timer default, up to 90 minutes. It's not possible to set that anymore, at least not on my Hopper 3?
