I have a friend that had Uverse TV and hated, I want AT&T TV to be a great service, the more options the better for the us the consumer, I guess we'll wait and see.

I don't think he changes channels, it's a Applebee's commercial from beginning to almost the end and the start of another commercial at the very end. When I had Sling TV service in the past I could watch anything including sports with no buffering or break up and the most it would take was 2.6 Mbps.

I don't think it takes much speed to stream what he was watching, 5Mbps maybe. AT&T is a joke.

And that's just the TV streams, you will need more for computers, phones, tablets, etc.

I can see a AT&T Now beta app on my Samsung TV, don't have the service.

Viewing in 4K req’s 4K TV and separate 3rd-party subscriptions That seems to suggest that there wont be any 4k service directly from DIRECTV.

Yesterday I went to check the weather on the DIRECTV app section and to my surprise it showed the Locast app on the list, I tried accessing it but it showed an error, today it was gone.

I have a Q9FN 75" with a HR-44 no 4k. The only way for me to keep from seeing judder was to turn off the auto motion setting, the picture looks ok but not as good as streaming from say ESPN+ I had a top of the line plasma TV before and it did a better job with DIRECTV picture but this Q9FN is...

Thank you for the info, very interesting indeed. So this is todays technology in it's infancy, maybe in 15 years both fueling and repair will be possible and affordable, and I think needed as we hear of all of the plans for internet delivery by satellites.
