Thanks for the extra input. It is just the wife and I... and at most we may record 2 programs at once on one or two nights a week for an hour to two, but it is rare because we don't record too terribly much... maybe 7-8 shows a week. I would not anticipate any issues there and I like the idea...

I am not sure I follow... you are not able to connect to the DVR? From your phone or computer? I read where the program guide on DTV is only 1.5 hours. I really like the fact Dish is 3 hours, but I figure there may be a few trade offs.

I think only the RCA and the HTL will do OTA... I never tried with the HD TIVO unit, but it may too. I believe the RCA is DVI, the HD Tivo is HDMI, and the HTL I can't remember if it's HDMI or DVI... all have component. They are all boxed up and ready to ship, but I'm sure you could search the...

That's exactly what I have. HTL-HD via component and SD Tivo via s-video to the same RPTV. I can have 3 or 4 or even 5 connected to it if I wanted to. I can do 2 components, 1 DVI, and 2 s-video... as well as all the composite inputs as well. I think the salesman is confused.
