LOL, what makes you think he'll come back? He didn't wanna do the job in the first place so what makes you think he'll come back with the triple sat. Was it a big job (4+ rooms, wallfish, long cable runs, 3 stories) job?

Sounds like the tech did not fine tune the dish. Most techs just align the dish to get the 101, 110, and the 119 and skip the fine tune part. The KA band is a very narrow band so if its not fine tune the 99 and 103 might not come in.

You got to get to the source buddy. Even if the contractors started the lying, they still only do it because they have to or else they would lose the contract from Directv. Directv do enforce the phone lines, but its not documented. In the end, the installers lose.

Because the contractor companies will lose their contract with directv if they don't enforce this phone line BS. Directv is one greedy company and they make their money through pay per view BS and also selling customer's viewing habit to other companies. If i were the installers that got fired...

Do this....after you get the maximize signal of the 101, unplug your receiver for 15 seconds and replug it and start doing your auto-detection. It should work if you get the 101 signal and your dish is fully leveled and set at the right tilt and elevation.
