Got my last statement - its a bill! I got a statement from Voom today billing me a prorated amount for the last 15 days or so of service. About $32. It also informed me that I could keep my STB. I thought they were just letting us keep the service until the end of April and not billing...

I am using OTA only currently. Later this summer, I will try to make a change. I am waiting to see what Direct does first.

Why would this cause doubt. They are noncontrolling. If Cablevision, controlling member sees and opportunity to sell it to Direct, they will do it. Hell, Direct may even end up with a little slice of equity. If the companies gain equity they will push the Voom channels, win win for everyone.

Yeah, if they want it, they can come get it. I never signed anything that said I would go out of my way to return it. If they come get it I will give it to them, but I am not going to work for them since they did not fulfill my contract.

Thank God I cancelled yesterday's Comcast install. I will call DISH tonight.

Yeah, my installer called and I took their info, but told them I was not ready to make any to signup for anything else yet.

They have already been runining in it snd it shows a massive two sets of tits. Wow! It is interesting though as it shows what goes into one extremly elaborate Haunted House. Just don't watch it to see tons of T&A.

I am. Plus, if they did charge me, where I had my install done on the card, I would dispute it and let VISA go after them since I would not be authorizing it. I signed up for six months and I may only get OTA, but by golly I will get something. Hell OTA is better than my Comcast option anyways.

Wow, I read this and decided to see where I might go after the shut down so I called Direct and tried hard not to laugh at the poor girl. I think maybe I will just watch DVDs until someone else gets a clue. They have 15 channels she proudly said - of course that includes national network feeds...

That article makes zero sense. If DISH were to try to convert me without at least everything I get now, I would just tell them to go to hell. I bet most people would. The reason we signed up was for HD content. DISH has what 5-6 channels. VOOM is the only reason I ever left cable. I watch DVDs...

Just watch HD on Wed. night. That is when both those shows are on if I am not mistaken.

Apple buys Voom and TIVO then builds the ultimate in Hi-def home entertainment - damn that would have everyone in this forum taking a cold shower. Rumors are fun. I am a big Apple fan so I would love to see Apple take Voom and Tivo under its wings and creat something truly awesome.

I really think we are getting ready to have a Va Voom package between Voom and Va Va Voom. The channels being added to Va Va Voom are specialty, but not premium channels in general. If they keep adding a middle package that splits the price is very possible. I would likely get that or a sports...
