I will give the Android tablets a serious look when they come out.

Now that you can buy a reasonably price PC with a blu-ray recording drive, is it possible to get a show recorded on my 622 to my PC for blu-ray recording? If this is possible, what hardware and connections would I need? Would this be easier with a different Dish receiver?

I have the same boxes and had the same problem until I disabled the auto spindown on the drive with the seagate software.

I'm still having problems too. I get the lockups, and trouble getting past certain spots in a recording. I also have a problem where on power on TV2 is sometimes in B&W until I select a prerecorded show to watch.

I have seen a similar problem. I don't get it on TV1 which is S-Video. On TV 2 I sometimes see black and white when I turn it on, but it always clears up as soon as I select a prerecorded show. Steve

I've had 4.13 for a couple of days. As far as I've noticed, all the problems intoduced with 4.11 are resolved. They have also added a 'dish on demand' menu, which comes up when you press the DVR button. Quite annoying IMHO, because I have no interest in PPV. My free PPV coupons went unused...

I used to have that problem all the time on my 522. I could usually work around it by rebooting the unit. I don't know if this will work on the 622, but I think it's worth a shot. Couldn't hurt to give customer service a call. Probably won't help, but it couldn't hurt. Steve

Yahoo TV listings show CBS as showing a 2 hour episode of CSI, which matches what the dish listing shows. Hopefully both listings are correct, and CBS realizes that not everyone wants to watch Buba. SteveC
