Current odds of getting HR24 and H24 on new Whole Home install

As a retailer I know we only have access to the HR24's and H24's. I can't even order a 20-23 model rec if I even wanted to. That being said, if you want to make sure you are getting the latest equipment available (brand new) I would definately get your system through a local retailer. Btw...

DirecTV: get new customers to pay old customer's unpaid bills.

Only problem is weather your buying from a retailer or Dtv, the new service will most likely get flagged by the address anyway. And Dtv does have a fraud dept. I work for a retailer so I know what can and can't be done. The OOP is really the best bet. Hopefully they will help you.

HD Upgrade - No Self Installation Allowed???

I'm an installer currently for a Directv retailer and recently left working for a Dtv HSP (home service provider). Basically the rule of thumb is if you are getting a new receiver then you mist sign the 2 yr upgrade contract same as if you go get a new cell phone ( with the exception of...

    H24, HR24 signal loss issues

No unseen splitters. The cable run from swm splitter is exterior so I've gone through that scenario already. I guess when I go out today I'm going to replace everything between the splitter and lnb (cable, connectors, and ground block)

    H24, HR24 signal loss issues

I installed a three room DTV system a few weeks ago and the customer is having some weird signal loss issues. The system consists of a SWM 5 slimline dish, HR24, H24, and a D12 (of which was not hooked up till yesterday due to it being a Christmas present). The customer contacted me about 3 or...

    HR-24?

If you want to be sure to get an HR24 go through a local retailer instead of calling Directv or ordering online. Where do you live (city, state)? I might know someone good to call. In short, retailers get new equipment. HSP's get whatever Directv sends out to them (often refurbished older...

Dish... Subcontract installs have got to Go!!!

let me explain something to you guys. Both Dish and Directv use primarily retail companies to do installes for them. The companies with the big contracts are required to have "x" number of employees. Since "x"number of employees is not enough to do all the work, they then hire contractors to...

    Free Upgrade to a 622?

I am with you Tom. I live in the Dallas Ft.Worth DMA and also got the call last night. I didn't go for it. They asked me why and I told them price point. They then replied so if it were free with no upfont cost you would do it? I then replied yes hoping to get that deal. No deal though...

So close with 129 I can taste it!

the way to pick up the 119/129 on a dish 500 is to tune in 119 and 110. Then slowly turn the dish to the west. You will move off of 119 and begin to pick up another signal. This will be 129. You will need to raise the elevation just a bit to peak it out. Using this technique and adding a...

So close with 129 I can taste it!

A Dual or a twin will work the same either way in a Dish Pro setup. I know you would think that the built in switches would interfere with each other but they don't. This setup works great. As a matter of fact I have my second dish (supposed to be for locals) pointed at 61.5 for the Voom...

So close with 129 I can taste it!

Actually you can use a DP Twin with a DPP Twin I did Hundreds of installes in the last 8 months in Lubbock Texas. They have to have a second dish for their locals pointed at. 148. We have used the DP Twin/DDP Twin combonation flawlessly. Never once an issue. Our company uses the same setup...

    I dumped DirecTV for Dish

That's great for all you D* guys but I think personally Dish still comes out on top of the game. I have 1 rec. and it's a 942. I'm loving it everytime I use it. Couldn't imagine ever switching back to Dish. Oh and by the way the Voom channels are an excellent Value as well. And also love...

I am staying with Dish Network

Seriously bad things happening!! I got laid off of work do to downsizing. I'm scheduled for a route canal a week from Wedensday. My 942 got fried during a thunderstorm 3 days ago. :( :( :( And to top it all off my dog was diagnosed with cancer. There is still one ray of hope in my life...
