Today, we got Dish Network installed. The installer called and said they'd be over at 1:30, and arrived at around 2PM. He was done after 1 hour and 30 minutes of installing the dish and bringing the amazing ViP 722. After he set the receiver to activate and select the satellites, it was amazing...

Are you sure the sound levels aren't because of the digital channels switching to 5.1 surround sound? Or is it where commercials are much louder than the TV shows?

With the VIP722, we can connect it to our linux router (WRT54G) which is connected to a DSL modem, correct? As long as it goes online, right?

Hi everyone! 10 days from now I will be signing up for Dish Network. Our local satellite people (Satellite Central) is offering us AT100 DVR Advantage deal with locals for 39$ + $10 for HD. Also, we would get $120 in programming credits if we joined. Is there any deal like this if we signed up...
