I've had this happen as well with my 622. In my case, whenever you go to guide or menu or whatever uses the small TV window in the upper right, the window plays fine. Go back to full screen and you get the "juddering" slow motion effect.

I was thinking they should have replaced the receiver since I thought you said the problem existed on two different remotes. Well, if the new remote doesn't fix it, then you have more justification for a replacement revceiver and still get a new remote out of it too.

I would call tech support and ask for a replacemtn unit before spending $ on an IR converter.

I live in the DFW area and just discovered I have the same problem. Right now I have 110, 119, and 61.5. In the past Dish took me off 61.5, then put up an oval dish looking at 3 sats, then removed one of those LNBs and put back the side 61.5 dish. ????? Anyway, does someone have a recommendation...

Got mine in and set it up to use an IR remote upstairs to controll TV2 functions on the dual mode receiver downstairs. Works great, so far has stopped the mother-in-law complaints, and all is well again.

Ordered mine yesterday. Hopefully I will now have a solution to 84yr old mother-in-law's complaining about remote being too complicated and not being able to see the buttons. No need to offer other suggestions on how to stop mother-in-law complaints, at least not the illegal ones.
