    Atlanta HD locals (sub channels)

deltadave, I guess you are kind of on the fringe out there are you familiar with the Yahoo Atlanta HDTV discussion group, http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/ahdtv/, they have a CM 4228 loaner antenna you might want to try, also you may want to see if anybody on there lives out that way and has...

    Atlanta HD locals (sub channels)

deltadave, what area do you live? I am about 35 miles from the towers and have a CM 4228 in my attic and get the major HD channels w/o a problem on my H20.

    Atlanta HD locals (sub channels)

Charter cable in Gwinnett has a channel, 116, that continuously runs current radar and has the forecast every 5 min or so. I was really disappointed in the active weather channel on the HR20, it looks like something out of USA Today that is generalized for the whole country.

    Atlanta HD locals (sub channels)

timmac, the only sub channel that I have found with anyting on it is 11-2 which has local and national weather. ch 11, NBC, has local news in HD, and as sguest9 says there are some Braves, Hawks, & Thrahers games in HD, other than that there is not much in local HD broadcasts. Oh, by the way...

    I sent my H20 back

There is noting wrong with your set! the H20 does not read signals as high as other STBs. I had readings in the 70s & 80's on the H20 and when I swapped to the HR20 I readings in the 90's to 100. The H20 is known for low sat readings.

    I sent my H20 back

I had my H20 installed last Dec and never had any rebooting issues, I thought it was a pretty good box, the only thing I had a problem with is the slow channel changing and having to hit the button twice for the guide but I have gotten use to that. I got my HR20 last week and moved the H20 to...

    Interactive Functions on the HR20

It works on mine, I played around with the ST interactive features which were pretty cool, and I also did the weather interactive channel which IMO sux! The info on interactive weather is a joke, it looks like it came out of last weeks USA Today, was expecting something better than that, I...

How to find a local D* installer

Black iron is used commonly for compressed air and gas where galvanized is used primarily for water, so unpainted black iron will begin to rust pretty quickly outside, on the other hand galvanized will stay rust free longer but will eventually begin to rust after a number of years. Typically...

Chang in the Air at DirecTV

That's pretty sad to hear, I have Charter here in North Atlanta and they have been the most pathetic excuse of a cable provider that exists, if he was VP of planning & strategy he woefully failed because they had none, so if he does at D* what he did at Charter don't expect anything new. Also...

H20 output 480i and 1080i at same time?

I think it is, I have my main connection via HDMI to my plasma then I have a composite connection to a leapfrog going to a set in the kitchen, both work concurrently.

Is H20 PQ better than HD300?

I agree with TDS4182, I had an HD300 and switched to an H20 because I was having problems with OTA reception, since the H20 has been in I get all the major nets OTA w/o a problem. In fact I think the OTA picture is better than D*s HD locals plus there is no lip sync issue with OTA like I...
