If they really thought it was fixed in a couple days, why not change the tier on the new HD channels and basically stick them in "free preview" mode until they get it worked out. There's gotta be a little more to it than what they're saying.

i really don't want the new directv HD-DVR .. has anyone sucessfully gotten them to go to the tivo when offered the "new interactive" one?

crap.... first try, 399. sounded like the new DVR anyway. hung up quickly. I can buy an "owned" HR10-250 for that. Been with directv for 6.5 years, only have done movers connection. no other freebees. i think I'm too nice. I'd rather have the tivo anyway

Yep, I was aware that I will lose them at some point but I thought it was a fairly high bar before they had to switch off DNS ? like they had to have converted / offered to converted 90% of people in the DNS?

I've currently got the big 4 networks DNS from NY (on an old DTC-100 which is actually kaput but I've kept paying the 5/month to keep DNS eligibility), but now I know Chicago locals are available in MPEG4 ... if I were to activate a H20 HD receiver, will I lose my NY DNS? (I only have the 3 LNB...
