Winegard Sk-3005 Slimline built in switch

I'm installing the Winegard SK-3005 and would like to gets some clarification. The instructions says it can support four recievers without a switch. So I am assuming it has a built in multiswitch. Here is my main concern. I am installing this unit in such a way that I need to absolutely minimize...

    2 transponders low signal

On my 119 signal page I am getting high 80s and low 90s on all of my transponder accept for two. One transponder is at 40 and the other is at 20. With all the rest having a strong signal what would cause these two "black sheep" Thanks.

    You know!?!?!

I understand exactly where you're coming from, the two "kids" that originally came to do the install at my house were extremely disapointing. They decided I could not get HD programing and would not even set me up with a reqular receiver. Anyway I ended up buying all my equipment and just...

    Long run for AT-9 install

The reason is, I was under the impression that since there was built-in multi switch that each of the four outputs carried the full service. If that was the case it would seem I could run that one line to a multiswitch and 4 lines out from there. Also it seems like everyone has different...

    Long run for AT-9 install

Due to LOS issues I have now decided the only place I can install my dish is about 300-350 ft away from where it will enter the house. Here are my questions: 1. At 350ft is it probable that I will need an amp to get the signal? 2. Since the initial run will be so long and the dish has a built...

easy one: LNG setting zone 1

easy one: AT-9 LNB setting zone 1 I need to set my dish for zone 1. The LNB on the "arm" that connects to the main LNBs in the center requires you to set it in one of three notches. looking at the front of the dish is zone one the notch to the left or right .

    Signal Angle

What I'm a measuring? If your refering to measuring the angle compared to horizontal that fine but what am I comparing this to? If I don't know the offset angle of the dish what am I measuring?

    Signal Angle

I asked a similar question but I didn't get a clear answer. I was told look at the info on the receiver... My receiver tells me to set my elevation to 39. Now does this represent the ACTUAL angle to horizontal, or does the signal come in even higher than 39 degrees because its an offeset dish...

Which receivers have remotes with RF

I want to have a few screens around the house that will be used infrequently. These will all be connected to a single receiver. I figure I'll put the receiver in the attic and split the output to the various screens. Like a 19" in the laundry room for the wife, a 9" under the counter in the...

    Actual elevation of satellite

How can I guestimate the exact LOS path for my dish install. I've done a lot of reading and watch the install videos so I kinda have an idea whats going on. I understand that the angle of the signal comes in slightly elevated and then is reflected out to the feed horn. How do I tell the...

    Self install AT-9

I moved into a house that had a D* setup. It has only a single LNB dish. When I called to subscribe they convinced me to get HD. Great. Well when the installers came they told my wife the would not be able to get the HD signals. They also refused to even leave a standard receiver since the...
