Too much work... That is way too much work. ;) All I did was stick a cheap signal booster (from Radio Shack) on the end of a long RG6 (the UHF ant is the input to the booster) and I can hit the receiver from anywhere in the house (upstairs or downstairs).

So, how do you get to list the extra info? I can only see the first 5 in this list on my 522. Is there a config item I need to change? Also, why is Hard Disk greyed out in my diagnostics? Thanks.

Just when I thought I had it covered...well, I do have two of them now and only really need the 5000. I'll keep my fingers crossed...thanks for the bright outlook! :^)

Ok, thanks very much. This is disappointing news to be sure. Of course, it was disappointing to find out that the 522 didn't have the same feature that the old 5000 does in that it can take local channels of the air antenna. Again, thanks for the help.

Thanks. Is there any way to do this without pulling the third cable? They are bringing the adapters and I'm ok with the 4500 and 5000 not seeing the locals. All I want is the DVR to see them so it can record from them. Thanks again!
