    If I cared about NBC, CBS, etc I wouldn't cut the cord. 99.9999999% of their content is overproduced mediocre pulp.

    I have a 4 year old TCL bought for my office, it's okay. I would say it's pretty good for what I paid. The downside is the Roku interface has gotten slow so I plugged in a fire stick.

    I believe you meant to quote someone else but earlier this year Amazon put the 4k sticks sale for $24.99 limit 1. I tried to buy a second in a subsequent sale and they wouldn't let me. The normal sale price, as you say, is $34. I don't believe I ever said they are regularly $24.99 on sale.

    It's luck of the draw. Electronics sometimes go bad, they make millions of them and some are going have flaws.

    If I dig out my old Roku2 it will be so slow that you'd notice. Matter of fact I could show you the speed difference between previous generation Fire stick and Roku TV. Or Roku Stick and Fire stick, if the Roku Stick hadn't died.
