Out of Windstream/Dish 2 year agreement now-incentives to stay?

My parents used to be bundled through windstream. their support was (and still is) HORRIBLE. The monthly savings passed on by windstream?....$2/month. Parents now have phone/dsl from windstream and a sub straight to Dish.

    Looking Into Majic Jack (Questions)?

I've been using magicjack for over a year. I dumped the SIP user/pass, and picked up a Cisco UC520 appliance that connects directly to the SIP service. Magicjack dongle is in a drawer in my lab...haven't used it since the day I got it. I have several cisco IP phones through the house, and i...

    Dish needed for Tailgate

dish500 is very easy to align with whatever you need. It's a bit larger than the old directv dish and will make aiming a bit easier too. Dishes can be found on craigslist for nothing or next to nothing..

$50 Dish Grounding Inspection Fee passed by Omaha, Ne

This does not make me happy.....the more I read the more upset I get. updated link: http://www.tinyurl.com/evilomaha I wonder, are they going to drive around and look for dishes everywhere? Talk about a waste of taxpayer dollars. With my 3 dishes, it would cost me $150....every 3 years...

    Winegard 2076 + roofmount = unstable pole!

Surely you weren't lucky enough to have studs at all of your mount points -- did you reinforce with material from the bottom side for your lags to screw into? Update: A bit of searching on ebay turned up just what I needed. $10 including shipping got me this:

    Winegard 2076 + roofmount = unstable pole!

I saw your other pics from your recent thread Walrus. I think your idea is a good one, very similar to what I was thinking of doing in the first place. After hearing of your success, I'll give it a go :) Is that collar an off-the-shelf piece or is it a custom engineering job ? :)

    Winegard 2076 + roofmount = unstable pole!

I thought of doing this.... actually, i thought of one-upping it. I have a 30 feet (3 sections) of TV antenna tower. I even have a big pine tree that would block it from street-front view that is sitting at about 177 degrees west. It's the triangle-shaped tower and would be very nice. I...

    Winegard 2076 + roofmount = unstable pole!

With this one I feel like I'd still have to anchor the vertical pipe to the backside corners to eliminate wobble.

    Winegard 2076 + roofmount = unstable pole!

Yes, i know what they are. My concern with an NPM was the weight. Some that I have seen "require" 8 cinderblocks. Are there concerns with roof-sagging at all? How many blocks do you guys use? I'd still need to have a decent length of pole to get the dish to clear the peak, but certainly...

    Winegard 2076 + roofmount = unstable pole!

Hey guys!! I have recently picked up a winegard 76cm dish and LNB along with a DG280B. Problem is the only place I can mount this beast is on my roof. I have no LOS to the arc from the ground at my place at all. I already have my subbed dish network 1000.2 on my chimney so this guy can't go...

I would buy installation tools and compression fittings. As I've been working with my motorized setup for the past 2 months (purchased from sadoun, btw) I've had many issues from using low quality cable, low quality tools, and most importantly...low quality RG6 fittings. While it was easy to...
