    There, corrected that for you.

Is their a cheaper package than the Select package?

That’s what I figured. Otherwise I’ll have to try to find a dish deal that pays their etf. I’ll call retention’s for them tomorrow. If they can at least get their promo price for the next year they’ll be fine.

Is their a cheaper package than the Select package?

My grandparents are coming up on their second year in February. Last I looked there was a lower package they could get but now I’m not finding a lower one under there account. Are there still deals going on with the retention’s department? Neither of us like calling in but if they’re still...

    Ready to dump Directv

Claude, I think it’s time you dig them Hopper 3’s out of your closet and come to dish. In my experience there are far less issues and we dish power users will always find a solution for a fellow dish user. We can guide you to the perfect setup for your needs.

They could move everything left a bit and add another half hour to the guide

Or have fast enough internet. There will always be rural areas where fast internet will never be available.

New Guide UI now rolling out (plus HDR support!)

And that’s why I’m worried about when my grandparents get it. As long as they dont need reading glasses to use the guide I’m sure they’ll be fine

New Guide UI now rolling out (plus HDR support!)

But not everyone wants it. It still eventually forced on you. At least direct isn’t phasing out old non genies that don’t get that update. My grandparents have the HR-54 genie and I dread the day the get the update. For them it’s going to be confusing. I already told them about it hoping it’s...

New Guide UI now rolling out (plus HDR support!)

At least you guys have the ability to “postpone” the update by downgrading to earlier software and not have it forced down your throats like dish is doing.

It doesn’t matter who the provider is; a “ticket for engineering” is a big FU. They never actually do anything. It just a script response.

New Guide UI now rolling out (plus HDR support!)

So is this in the national release now? If so is the Genie(HR-54) getting it automatically?

Could I be doing better on my monthly Directv bill? Retention plan strategy

Even dish is a cheaper option. I’d recommend coming over to Dish and getting the Hopper 3 with joeys. If they want to charge extra upfront for the Hopper 3 then go with the Hopper w/sling. Either one will be superior to what you have now. And there’s news that D* is going to be moving to tv via...

Cancelled DTV over terrible customer service

Yes, come to the dark side. :biggrin (red logo/lightsaber vs blue logo/lightsaber)

    DirectTV target frequency

So try 1070 as thats what the previous post states the frequency (freq) is

    HS-17 Question

    Just switch do Dish :biggrin

New Genie UI now in CE testing

And now dish has there new CUI(carbon user interface) pushed to all the Hopper receivers, so now D* has to make a quick comeback.

    Vacation Home

You mean 30” to 36” not feet. :biggrin

I was able to view them there until the post that says dish doesn’t want pictures posted. So even if it was working for you it would be pointless at this time.

New Genie UI now in CE testing

I still remember years ago when I had to do that every time I opened the guide.
