Can I relocate my power inserter?

Ok, here's the deal. After further inspection, this my setup... Right now, the wire from outside (dish) goes into my house to room 1. From room 1 outlet, there is a coax going in to the above pictured splitter. From the splitter, one coax wire goes to the power inserter, and the other to the...

Can I relocate my power inserter?

I am going to verify later this week, but I am fairly certain that my set up has this splitter in my living room. Do I only need to move this to room 2 to relocate the power inserter? Or do I still need to switch Room 1 and 2 outside, ALONG with moving this splitter? Thanks again everyone

Can I relocate my power inserter?

Are you referring to the splitter that is outside my house with the cable that leads to room 2? So you're saying on the splitter outside, I'd have to swap Room 1 and Room 2?

Help switching from wired to wireless whole-home DVR

Thanks for the quick replies. Just to make sure I understand... you are saying I can lose the wired DECA (currently on my H22 in room 1)... wire my H34 in room 2 with cat5 from my router (which will now be in there)... and I'll have internet/whole home DVR in all 3 rooms still? So, the H34 can...

Help switching from wired to wireless whole-home DVR

Hi, Last year, I added whole-home DVR, and even though I requested the wireless setup, the installer insisted and basically forced me to use a wired set up. Here is my current set up: Room 1: HR22-100, wired DECABB1MR0-01 to my wireless router in this room Room 2: HR34-700 Room 3: HR21-200...

What is the correct part # for an RF, backlit remote that works with the HR34?

Darn, are you sure? I thought the RC-70 was for Samsung TVs that are using the RVU setup

What is the correct part # for an RF, backlit remote that works with the HR34?

I had my HR34 installed today and love it. Unfortunately, they only gave me an IR remote. I'm looking for a backlit, RF remote that will control the HR34. I think it might be the RC65RBX, but I've been unable to find anything concrete. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

Does the DECA network adapter require it's own power supply (H21/H22 boxes)?

I've searched around but can't seem to find a straight answer. I wanted to make sure everything is easy and accessible for the installer this weekend. I'm adding whole home DVR to an H21 HD box, as well as an H22 HD-DVR box. Will he need an additional power outlet for these boxes?

    Just ordered the HR34!

My contract was up next month, and I really wanted the HR34. Long story short, I was able to get the following deal, all for only 99 bucks. 1) an HR34 2) add another HD-DVR to a room that currently has no DTV 3) cinema connection kit 4) whole home DVR 5) I was also able to keep my Choice Xtra...

When can I "negotiate" a new agreement with DTV, and what can I expect to get?

I'm going to call tomorrow. Should I transfer straight to retentions or just try a random CSR?

When can I "negotiate" a new agreement with DTV, and what can I expect to get?

Sorry for all the questions - I'm not good with this stuff... so this means I wouldn't have to pay extra for multi-room DVR installation?

When can I "negotiate" a new agreement with DTV, and what can I expect to get?

Is the hardware needed for the multi-room DVR etc going to be inside, or is it all out side? I ask because I have limited space inside.

When can I "negotiate" a new agreement with DTV, and what can I expect to get?

How do I know if I have SVM? If I don't, how much might that cost me? Thanks for the info!

When can I "negotiate" a new agreement with DTV, and what can I expect to get?

I first got DirecTV back in April 2010. Since my contract is expiring, I would like to get the HR34 box, as well as add another box to another room in my home which has no box at the moment (currently have an HR22-100 and an HR21-200). How soon can I call them to try and agree to a new contract...

    Just ordered HR24

Sorry for the newbie questions. I recently switched to DTV in April and the installer provided an HR22-100 box. Navigating the guide is painfully slow. 1) If I order an HR24, is it as simple as swapping out the boxes, or does a tech need to come out? 2) What happens to my old HR22 box? Do...

Are there any downfalls for using a pole mount instead of mounting on house?

Yeah, it seems that the going rate is ~$75 and that is fine with me. I'm not so handy and don't even want to attempt trying to do it myself. I live in the New Orleans area so snow is a once in a few years type event... I guess my question was is it going to have any long-term side effects such...
