    PQ D!SH vs Netflix

Yes, YouTube dropped to SD. YouTubeTV and others have not.

Dish Customer Service not like the old days.

I’m using TP-Link Deco M5 Mesh system. Great coverage over all bands throughout the house. Pricing is usually very good too.

Sounds like it is time to refresh your WiFi setup. :)

DTV calling it quits (more or less)

Nice term! :). What the heck does that mean?

DTV calling it quits (more or less)

Heck, it’s cheaper to get it a year, cancel and pay the ETF. I had thought to do just that. Get the Entertainment level @$50, pay the ETF at the end of a year and see what has jelled by then in the streaming world. That would make the effective rate $65/month. But then I thought, why...

DTV calling it quits (more or less)

Yeah contracts complete with ETFs makes it a non-starter, as if the 2nd year pricing wouldn’t do that all by itself. Just not competitive.

DTV calling it quits (more or less)

Yes, ATT has more streaming live tv options, but it is a confusing mess at this moment, and for the most part, not very competitive in the streaming market space.

DTV calling it quits (more or less)

They are only promoting the newest streaming service. Cable, satellite and their other streaming services are all available, but it isn’t what they want to sell. More like not wanting a ‘no sale’!

DTV calling it quits (more or less)

ATT’s streaming has a couple problems. The biggest being the financial end. Channel selections and packages are mostly OK in comparison to other offerings. But the financial obligations are certainly not! Take the lowest level of the newest offering, actually take the lowest 2 levels...

DTV calling it quits (more or less)

Same could be said for ATT, but their losses have been much more significant. And their streaming offerings aren’t exactly getting rave reviews from anywhere.

DTV calling it quits (more or less)

I give ATTs satellite service a couple of years before going on the market. That gives ATT time to shift was many subscribers as possible to their streaming service, assuming they can make that a viable product. That’s so they have enough subscribers to still have some clout with the content...

What I've learned after 6 months without Dish.

One way around the 3 stream limit is to use your YouTubeTV login for a channel’s individual app.

    Sinclair and RSNs

Yep, I think it is going to be painful for everyone involved. The club owners and players are most likely going to find that at home/mobile viewers are not quite as willing to pay the current actual cost. The viewers will be ticked off and post everywhere about how it all sucks. In the end...

    Sinclair and RSNs

The very last thing the RSNs want is to have to how much it actually costs to get them. We see the $6 or so a month as an RSN fee, but that is the price if nearly everyone on the provider is paying for it. Given that the RSNs are really only viewed by a minority of viewers, the per actual...

    Regional sports channels

Not necessarily. While sports fans represent a big chunk of viewers, they are not in the majority. Assuming they can’t come up with a deal, possibly they could shift a bit and make deals with some of those other channels they don’t have now. RSNs are in trouble, they cost too much and the only...

    Cancelled Dish

They saw a lot of that over the last couple of weeks as they were looking for houses with 20+ acres of woodlands. Almost all of the ones they looked at had no cell service at all. The one they bought gives them 3 bars of LTE and my daughter FaceTimed with my granddaughter and that worked well...

    Cancelled Dish

My daughter and son in law just bought a house out in the country. Great house and the property shares a border with the Mark Twain forest. But like you, no internet other than via their cell service. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

    Cancelling Dish Network service

With Tivo, unless you are in a hurry, just watch for sales that come along a few times a year. Often they have sales that include discounted ‘all in’ (lifetime) service. And they’ve had some that had $99/yr service deals too. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

Did you not read the OP? He clearly states that his contract was not changed, nor was his cost. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

Price increase and cancellation of services for free.

Since there’s nothing one-sided about the contract with Dish, what do you think contacting the attorney general will accomplish? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
