I have found in the past that these Reps are much more higher in rank...

    Why not Mediacom??

Same old Mediacom BS. Some things never change. On 4-28 the Local Sales Rep visited me at my house. I signed the Mediacom Service Order, the prices without Surcharge and taxes were in the order. Also NO commitment was checked. The Sales Rep told me he would call me on the phone the next day with...

    Why not Mediacom??

I am in Cobden. Right now I have 100mbps Internet for $60 a month. I did have 50mbps for $55 a month but a couple of months ago they offered me 100mbps for only $5 more a month. No Contract. The new bundle I agreed to last night gives me 50mbps with all the Tivo stuff I mentioned in my first...

Splitting HDMI Signal Or Something To Hook Up Second TV??

I was looking at Tvs recently at Walmart. They had about 20 all in a row playing the same thing. I noticed the one I was looking at was being fed by component. I asked the Walmart guy about it. He shrugged and said they were all set up that way. It is probably easier to split component VS...

A Few Questions about DirecTV from Potential New Customer

Dish's interface for streaming Blockbuster is horrible and nearly unusable unless you have a lot of patience. The Directv interface for streaming is quite good and even the search function is ok. Streaming is a much better experience from Directv. Yes I have been a customer at both companies...

Any new hd channel additions coming soon?

2 years ago when I switched to Dish fro Directv I had an overlap of 2 weeks with both services. I made many many HD A/B comparisons on a 46" Samsung LCD Tv and any differences were barely noticeable. In a blind test I could not tell if I was watching Directv or Dish. On the other hand Dish SD is...

Dog TV --- The First Television Channel for Dogs

Actually it is on Nat Geo Wild. When Maggie was alive in the mid 2000's it was on Nat Geo. I never watch the show myself but my wife likes it. So did Maggie the SharPei. I am more a Pawn Star, American Chopper type of guy. :)

    Gotta love Dish!!

What inconvenience? I use a Logitech Harmony remote, so there is no relearning after I get the Harmony re-programmed. My wife is looking forward to a Directv DVR again as she hated her VIP 612 which gave her much frustration due to its quirks. Installation is free and done by someone else. I am...

    Gotta love Dish!!

You can go to the DIrectv website and play "what if" to your hearts content. Make sure you do not have any old browser "cookies" or you may not get the New Customer promos.

    Gotta love Dish!!

When you do the pricing be careful. Directv promos gives free Premiums for 3 months. Make sure when you look at the 24 month pricing that you deduct all the Premiums, unless you plan on keeping them after the free 3 months....

    Gotta love Dish!!

I got the promo prices right off the Directv site and they show all 24 months of costs - very nice. It also easy to play what if - what if I used this package instead. 2 DVRS (1-HR34) Entertainment Package, HBO $60x12months = $720 $75x12months = $900 Equipment Upfront costs = $200 Total Cost...

Dog TV --- The First Television Channel for Dogs

Believe it or not I actually did have a dog that would watch TV. Only when there were dogs on. Animal Planet was her favorite channel and Dog Whisperer was her favorite program. I have had many dogs in my life, but only one that would actually watch TV. RIP Maggie, a wonderful Chinese SharPei...

Think I have just about had enough with this 722k

Yes. I only look 2 years in advance. If I sign up for Directv and in 2 years their prices are not competitive with Dish or my cable co., I churn again. I am concerned ONLY with what my costs will be for the next 2 years. I look at real world costs, and this means using promo prices.

Think I have just about had enough with this 722k

I have been pricing Directv because I just cancelled Dish a couple of days ago. I have 2 DVRs with Dish. I pay $10 for the extra DVR and $6 for DVR service. On a Directv 2 year new customer 2 DVR contract (1-HR34) there is a $20 per month advanced receiver charge. There is a $10 advanced...

    Gotta love Dish!!

Altho I am a long time sub to HBO, I do not think it makes any difference how many HD premiums either company has. With a DVR it makes little difference. I was only surprised because I have read the Dish fanboys brag about the extra Premium channels Dish had, and then I saw the comparison chart...

Think I have just about had enough with this 722k

What bothers me is not the tuner number, it is the fact the Joeys do not have tuners. Hopper goes bad, no tv for a while. The HR34 system can use remote receivers with tuners, adding to the tuner count and if HR34 goes bad, you still have TV. A BIG plus if you have a wife that complains.. :)...

Not to bite the hand that is feeding me :) but - The list here is rather confusing and hard to read. The other list is in color and very easy to read, compare channels and figure out..

Think I have just about had enough with this 722k

I switched from Directv to Dish 2 years ago. One month after I left Directv they started sending me mailings every month begging me to switch. They say they will pay up to $200 of my ETF to switch back. I been getting them more frequently as they know my Dish contract is almost up. I would give...

    Gotta love Dish!!

We could argue for the next week about which HD channel is more important to you or I. The fact is overall on all fulltime HD channels Dish=136HD Channels Direct=159HD Channels You do not have to go by your own guide - go over to the other satellite website in the General Satellite Discussion...

    Gotta love Dish!!

Dish is not any Cheaper than Directv, that is an internet Myth. I have done the math for a 2 year contract with both companys. For continuing with Dish my costs would be $92 X 24 = $2208 for the next 2 years - 2 HD DVRS, AT 200, HBO. You can knock off a $120 discount which Dish offered me to...

    Gotta love Dish!!

Yes!! Every two years my cell company sends me new customer promos. Most are worth 4-5 hundred dollars. Why? They WANT me in another 2 year contract. The cell companys do not want anyone out of contract. When you are out of contract a customer can think about alternatives.

Yep as you have shown, the way to respect is to attack the poster personally and ignore intelligent discussion. LMAO
