    OTHER Motor movement behavior

Then maybe it's a dish issue. I'm not familiar with Stab. My SG2100 has a manual reset button on it. With your symptom and my dish, I'd try resetting to see if that fixed it.

Have you applied all online updates for TNAP 5.1? El bandido did a lot of motor work in recent times.

GEOSATpro microHD: No LNB Voltage Output

As much as I like the microHD, I find it not as good as my modern GT Media box. When I blind scan using the GT Media, it records all tps found whether strong enough to lock or not, or whether they are data tps. This is very useful to know exactly what you are receiving even if you can't view the...

GEOSATpro microHD: No LNB Voltage Output

Good advice. With age, solder joints can weaken. Especially near the F-connector which gets abused from screwing a cable on and off.

    OTHER Motor movement behavior

I've never noticed that. There are two positions: Movement and Fine Movement. When Movement is selected, then the motor will move continuously in one direction when you press Search West (green) until you press it again. Same for Search East (yellow). In Fine Movement, the motor should move just...

GEOSATpro microHD: No LNB Voltage Output

Just to close this off....always go back repeatedly to check if a problem symptom exists while troubleshooting. I don't really know why, but after opening and closing the box and poking around, I put it back together and tested in my system. Works like a charm! I now have a new old working...

    OTHER GTMEDIA V7 or V9?

You got me curious. I tried loading this firmware and got the message "upgrade failed". I tried a couple times using All Code and Main Code methods. So I tried the previous V465 version. Same results. I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or this firmware isn't compatible with my hardware.

GEOSATpro microHD: No LNB Voltage Output

Revisiting this issue just because I have time and I'm curious to see if I can fix this unit for no practical reason other than the technical challenge. Asking again if anybody has the schematic diagram? There are few enough parts that maybe I can figure out which is a voltage regulator chip by...

    Amiko mini HD265 vendors?

I would say the same thing. Too low a voltage or insufficient current source could cause that symptom. Worth trying another wall wart or power supply if you have one.

    OTHER GTMEDIA V7 or V9?

I haven't installed it. But I'm pretty cautious about messing with the firmware on these lower cost boxes. I'm nervous you may not be able to go back if the newer firmware doesn't work well. Are there any notes suggesting the new stuff will make it function better?

I uploaded two more zipped files to here. These were recorded using an Openbox S9 receiver. There are two ways to record on the S9: with PS off and with PS on.

    C Band and a 120cm dish... pointless?

I receive audio channels on 105W C-band by using my 4-foot offset dish. You should read this informative thread for more info on this. If you don't have access to the "What's Up There" section, just ask an administrator of this site for access.

    C Band and a 120cm dish... pointless?

I agree this transponder would be worth the trouble. From Vegas, his dish elevation would be about 18 degrees. With that low FEC, it would be pretty easy to receive. There's a satellite in Asia at 154E that has a Chinese transponder on Ku with FEC 1/4 and it's a DVB-S2 signal so C/N lock is...

    C Band and a 120cm dish... pointless?

If you have visibility to 139W, point your dish toward it. I have my 4-foot offset dish receiving the ARCS mux from Alaska at a solid 6.7 dB now. This is a good transponder with five TV channels including PBS and sports broadcasts from ESPN, Fox, etc. as well as a number of radio channels. UFL...

    C Band and a 120cm dish... pointless?

If you already have the small dish mounted, why not just try rather than listen to others who may never have tried a small dish? Here were my results from January this year while using a 1.2m offset dish on C-band across the arc from 139W through 84W. Since the weather is now nice, I plan to...
