As far as the SD digital channels go, sat might have an edge up. Not by much though. It's hard to compare allot of times. Remember though. I'm comparing Voom SD with Comcast digital SD. D* might be different. The digital SD channels look exactly the same when recorded & played back on the PVR...

I've never been able to tell the difference as far as HD goes.

I'll keep Voom untill is gone & then just pick up the premiums on comcast. The DVR is still working quit well. I just wish it had more storage. When one of the Other sat. companys gets close to the # of HD channels that Voom has then I might go back to Sat.

I have a Harmony 680. It has more dedicated buttons for a DVR like skip forward, skip back & so on. It is perfect with my comcast 6412 DVR. I've sure it will be great for the up coming Voom DVR as well. The the buttons are the Jewel type. I have no complains. You might want to wait & see what...

This has happened with the Fox station here in Denver. All other stations have been fine.

On my 20" JVC in the bedroom I cycled through the diff. Res. to see which one looked best. I settled on 720p. I can read the text okay from 8'.

:(I'm just really sorry for all the problems everyone is havew since the suposed fix for the caller ID thing. My Boxes have been perfect since I got it. It really sounds like more people are having problems not than before the fix.:confused:

Well, I guess my point was that it would have been nice if it would have been free on comcast too so I could have recorded a few things. I got the PVR for mostly network stuff anyway. Too many things on at the same time.

Don't hold the red button very long or it will reset the box. Just push it and let go. Like it was said before. The top line is 1080i. If all are lit then each channel will be shown in it's native res.

It's really too bad they did NOT include Comcast in this free weekend. It would have been nice to record a few of these movies on the PVR.

This is what I can tell you about the new update. I've been beta testing it since right before Christmas. Hall version 7.33 was downloded & that's it at the time but no new software version. It did not help with the lockups at all. My STB would still lockup every 2 or 3 days. The one thing...

They are now doing beta testing for a fix. I can't tell you when it will be available for everyone though. I think they are close to having it fixed though.:)

Untill the new update comes out. Unplug your phone line. That should take care of the lockups. If all goes well the new update should be out within a week I would think.:)
