You are right they are going to pay in that litigation. One way they will pay is by putting AMC/IFC/WE/Sundance back on again. All that remains to be determined is what amount of cash has to go along with that reinstatement. All the rest has been posturing. That is how big boys litigate.

I see a lot of ipse dixit in these recent posts, but no citations whatsoever to any credible legal authority (such as a court decision construing a specific statute). Forgive me if I ask more from amateur internet lawyers. If it is so fricking obvious it should be easy to show such authorities.

Well, I haven't done that, though I don't know why a "how to" on something not known to be illegal is forbidden. Seems to stand the presumptions of a free society upside down! But I will play be the rules, even if I find them silly.

BTW, notwithstanding what I posted, I can understand MORAL arguments about the practice generally. However, to me, injecting morality into something like the Dish/AMC dispute is laughable. It is like the clash between Hitler and Stalin (Godwin forgive me). Frankly, I'd like to see them both suffer.

I get both Me-TV and Antenna TV OTA. Dish has guide info for the former, but none for the latter (I know, probably not Dish's fault). This is the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale market. I had to upgrade the antenna to get Me-TV to come through.

These channels do very well what TV Land USED to do. Right now I can (sometimes) get Antenna TV on local sub-channel, but Me TV is debuting here soon on a sub-channel I cannot get.

Grand Prix was much better on the HD feed tonight (didn't see Thomas Crown). The utility of the HD feed is going to increase gradually--remember, TCM has a vast programming library, WAY beyond almost what any other channel has to deal with. I repeat--check out 2001 on Friday and let's see how...

2001 is on Friday at 8pm (ET). If they can't show that in true HD, I don't know what they can show.

By phone and by chat today I was told "tough luck"--it would cost me $95 to fix. Because Dish has a problem with its satellites, I am supposed to pay $95? Bye, Dish. That's $2400/year you won't be getting--brilliant business decision!

I called on 2/11. The customer service rep (for existing customers) AND her supervisor never heard of the issue. I managed to get transferred to tech support--they knew the issue. I was on the phone almost an hour. The bottom line--although they were hoping that a promo would be issued "soon"...
