    Tek2000 and their 12ft dish.

It affects you some, but not enough to think it will not work. I can't remember if the panels alternated being on top or if it was one side on top and the other under. The second being worse. 51.96" you might as well call it 52". The manufacturer says it is 51", and that is 1/4 inch inside the...

    Tek2000 and their 12ft dish.

Oh, I was wrong about the price of the 12' dish at Tec2000, I thought I saw it at 1300.00 a couple of weeks ago.

Like you SHOULD BE POINTING AT THE CENTER. If the scaler ring edge measures 51 1/4 on one side and 51 on the other side... it is not pointing at the center. Measure from right................^ here, to the outside of the scaler ring edge... check four sides to make sure they are equal...

    Tek2000 and their 12ft dish.

It looks like Tec2000 raised the price on the 12' dish. I am starting a new search for 12 foot dishes as my client wants to change out one or both of the other 10 foot dishes he has now. He's okay with the 12' I showed pics of, except the crappy mount that I have to build a new one for. Maybe...

    Tek2000 and their 12ft dish.

Turn the bolt around, or use a shorter bolt. Do you mean "you drilled holes at 24 inches from the edge" and you do not have a good signal? Did you check your focal length after that? Did you check the distance from the exposed rib (at the inner edge of the mesh) to the four sides of the scaler...

Preferred ballast material for FTA aficionados?

It died? If not or when you get another... Put it in a cabinet that the cat can't mess with? Duct Tape? Um, shoot the cat?

Since I am in AZ, I'm not sure "most South satellite" might mean. Most South is like Galaxy 25 to me (I think). However, if it is referring to the high point of the arc, I would suggest it might be a declination issue.

    Tek2000 and their 12ft dish.

I can't say this will "get you the full arc". This is for modifying the arc needed for your area. Bending the plate just makes it easier to work with. If you don't, you'll have a hard time putting the bolt through the next plate as it will sit high, causing you to loosen the two bolts to give...

I'm at a loss trying to understand what a furnace has to do with satellite TV. This thread confuses me. However, It is great folks take the time to help others, even if it is not about satellite. :thumbup

Um... how bad do you want to get this thing up and running? Sorry, not trying to be a jerk, but are you willing to dig a hole and learn a few things? Or are you just wanting it to be a turnkey operation? (You will pay some bucks for a turnkey system.)

    Tek2000 and their 12ft dish.

Hi ya'll, Titanium- As you can see, the scaler ring is at 51 1/4 inches. The f/d is .37, which comes to about 1/2" out to the opening of the wave guide. So it comes to 1/4" inside. So I believe I am exactly correct. (Spent some time checking this.) I wasn't quite level with the camera. Espaun-...

    Tek2000 and their 12ft dish.

Since this is about their 12 foot dish, I decided to make a new thread for it apart from the 10ft. thread. I bought the 12 foot dish, I ordered it May 31 (or June 1st) after waiting for them to "get them in stock", and it took a month and a half or more to receive it. They kept telling me it...

Kid? Haaaa ha haaaaaaaa. Surely you jest. Gary, You have got to remember me. Didn't you hang out on Dishretailer? PSDA? Stoker... I got bummed after Claud f'd over PSDA and drifted away from the wasteland. I'm also the one who posted the DP-777 that this site listed as "an exclusive". (My own...

Help with first c band install

One period in time, when I had nothing else, and the jacks had a slot where the motor connected to, I used a drill and a wood drill bit to drive the dish from east to west. It was fast as hell. It was also funny as hell to move the dish from end to end in about 30 seconds.

Help with first c band install

BTW, I have never read any of the aforementioned books or videos. So I don't know if they said the same thing as what I just did. In the old days, I did the above suggestion using a receiver and tv by the dish using the meter on the receiver and the CM meter. Now that practically everything is...

Help with first c band install

Let me give it a try... I did this with my own dish more recently. First thing is get a decent signal meter, not the cheapies but something like a channel master with a nice smooth adjustment. (I'd post a link to one but I am "new here"... but not.) One tool I made was a dish positioner that I...

    C/KU Band FTA receiver recomendations

That is some good info. It will be a while before I get a 4k TV, and I heard there really isn't much programming anyway. Seems like a waste to go 4k right now. I'm going to look into your favorites. I'm not really heavy into FTA, but then, I have old crappy receivers and my Viewsat7000 died...

Thanks for the info on that. Seems I need to make a few now because I have a bunch of picks about the Tek2000 12 ft dish that is not letting me do that.
