    Combining multiple external HDDs

    I have a collection of external drives, from 200 GB to 1TB can I mount them (to a Linux box) and copy individual folders to a large size drive? Or is my only choice to move to my hopper, then to a larger drive?

    That's next, just the Hopper alone. I don't see how a hub would improve anything over an unmanaged switch. But I am a network 🤪 The switch is a TP-Link TL-SG1024 and has no way to set speeds.

    The one 1Gbps port feeds an unmanaged switch that has all house devices on it. Fiber Modem/ONT → Router (WAN port) Router (one LAN port) → Switch Switch → ~12 wired devices (with spare ports) Router also provides 2.4GHz WiFi

    Thanks for giving input. I don't have any settings to set port speed, at least I can't find any. Port speeds are reported as 1Gbps for WAN and LAN. I've set Firewall OFF/ON, DOS ON/OFF, QOS ON/OFF (what is Dish's PPV server, HTTPS?) and did even more than what I was comfortable with. No...

    I did that 10-15 years ago ... eventually gave up. I'm not as particular, I may listen to some music for awhile then change to College Football or NFL or MLB discussions then maybe back to music.
