    In Europe last summer I observed that many the public loos are pay. You have to drop your euros into a slot for the turnstile to admit you, and there is an attendant on duty. I suppose this helps to raise revenue but it's likely also serves maintain orderliness and cleanliness.

    I still have 2 working 922 receivers both have been Sling disabled by Dish and they don't go into the backup mode when the satellite signal fails like my Wally, so the question what advantage for me is it to hook it to my network. Seems to me all it does is provide my watch data to them with...

    Dish's rep, which posted on this board back in November 2024, said that the 05 error code is a corrupted file on the hard drive and there was no way to get the recordings back. It had to be re-recorded. We never asked if it lasts forever - or at least as long as the account is active.

    IIRC, Dish had a falling out with Voom because Voom did not produce the variety of programming promised.
