    OTA Signal Meter

I just purchased a TinySA for approx, $85 through Prime. Small pocket sized device and pretty useful for the price! Define the frequency range and gain/attenuation, etc. www.amazon.com/Portable-TinySA-Spectrum-Frequency-Generator/dp/B08FB5XT7B

    C band on twirt

The next generation LNBFs are ready for manufacturing, but have been holding off until the auctions are completed and the interference begins. Likely to skip the red transitional series as I don't think that there will be a significant demand from the hobbyists. The <4000MHz filters extremely...

    C band on twirt

Anything near line of sight will potentially cause interference. Now everyone will want their BUDs to be surrounded by a good stand of trees! [emoji16]

GEOSATpro Geosat HDVR 3500 no memory

Correct, user settings are not saved to the internal USB, but are written to flash. A broadcaster that I occasionally work with had noted that the failing internal USB caused many operational issues including corrupted settings. wagonman76, No need to join a forum to find a solution. For a...

    Asc1 Not Moving West

Yes, relay replacement involves soldering. Unless you have electronic desolder / solder experience and a work station, refer the repair to someone with the tools, knowledge and experience. If you have the skillset and tools, you might choose to safely open the case, order replacement relays...

    Asc1 Not Moving West

Definately much cheaper to replace them yourself or have a local electronics shop do it. Two way shipping is getting more and more expensive every day. Unfortunately, a grounded relay makes a good path for voltage potentials, nearby lightning and static discharges. [emoji852]

What do have on your system? LNBF or LNBs with servo? If LNBFs, power them from the STB. Our contact info is on the Titanium Satellite website.

Sounds like the west drive circuit has failed. Thanks for performing the additional troubleshooting indoors to eliminate the distribution. Drop an email if you wish to have the unit bench tested here at the shop.

    OTHER Sat Dish Size Advice

Overall, both dishes will be about the same amount of difficulty to align. I use the GSP90 dish for Orby in my RV. Swapped the nuts for wingnuts and makes simple to quickly assemble and breakdown. Use a Winegard tripod base with a few 18lb sand bags for ballast.

    OTHER Sat Dish Size Advice

A 30" dish is not 2 degree compliant. The additional beamwidth on an undersized reflector will not reject strong signals on adjacent 2 degree separated satellites. This may or may not be a problem, depending on the satellite and transponder that you are trying to receive.

    ASCI Not Moving East!

1.Swap to a different STB to test. A controller moves when it receives a command. The STB issues the move commands. The Linkbox motor control interface is poorly implemented and problematic for many users. You may also find that STB may need to be reset and the firmware reloaded. 2. Last year...

    Asc1 Not Moving West

I am confused by the testing process and reported results. I'll go with the others and suggest that you unmount and bring the actuator inside to the ASC1. Connect the M1/M2 and S1/S2/shield with short jumper cables and test East / West movement.

Read my reply on your thread and you will see that your testing showed that this isn't the case. [emoji41]

    ASCI Not Moving East!

When two ASC1s and a replacement PCB all exhibit a similar issue, I would continue to suggest that distribution wiring / grounding is highly suspect. Don't read anything in this post about an East movement issue. If the ASC1 only drives in one direction and testing points to it being due to the...

    Asc1 Not Moving West

OK, so the initial problem that you reported was that the dish would not move West and displayed an error. After testing, we know that the ASC1 West Drive circuit does not have defect. With the wires still swapped (reversed), if you press the East button, does the dish move West?

    Asc1 Not Moving West

Zack wire color means little any more as most hobbyists are no longer using ribbon cable or have wired the distribution wiring color code to their own preference. M1 / M2 defines which terminals to swap. This is why I haven't suggested what wires to swap in my testing suggestions. If swapping...

    Asc1 Not Moving West

Sorry, I haven't purchased a VOM in years and typically use a scope. Buy an analog VOM if you cannot find a fast reading digital. Many inexpensive digital meters take a while to take a reading and may miss short duration events. Often a digital meter may react quicker if set to a fixed range...

    Asc1 Not Moving West

With all wires (except the AC power) disconnected from the ASC1, use a fast reacting digital or an analog VOM with the probes on the M1 and M2 ASC1 terminals. 1. Do you see a momentary 28 - 36Vdc reading (before the error message is displayed) when the ASC1 front panel East button is depressed...

    OTHER Stab HH120 Problem

It would be possible to use a 2GHz rated splitter (2PPP - two port power passing) to provide power and DiSEqC signals to the motor and also for the LNBF. Be sure that the Stab Motor's connection between the previous f-fitting and the PCB is not shorted. If not shorted, it should work fine. Cover...
