Like Knightly said, you need a 800 receiver that will pickup some channels that are still on F2. G1 does not reach down to AZ. My 630 receiver lost all programming on F2 Oct 31 here in Mesa.

Your dish might have moved over the summer (bad winds). If I get my 630 to work after Oct 30, you can bring over your receiver at my place and check it there. That will illuminate everything but your dish and cable.

Are all your channels gone? Some channels have been removed in the last 6 months. I'll be down to Mesa Oct 30 to check my channels. Let us know if you have this sorted out.

You got nothing to loose by a Master Reset. I had the same problem with one of my neighbors 830's. The reset brought it back just fine.

I have a DirectTv mount in Calgary I setup a few years ago. It's a way better mount. The 2 cross brackets can adjust the dish plumb very easily, especially with a plumb bulb on top of the pole.

The G1 footprint shows a good signal in RI so a 830 unit should be OK. I would set up your dish with your 630 then tune to a channel that's on the G1 sat. If it's good then your good to go.

I'm not maintaining my subscription. Right now I'm on vacation disconnect till Oct 23 till I get back to Mesa AZ. Once my programming quits I'll just shut down my account because a 830 unit won't work in AZ.

I don't know what a Canadian Mailbox account is. But don't connect your PVR to the internet. I pay my account online with a Canadian bank account.

According to the sat maps, you should be able to pickup G1 sat OK. You will need a new PVR (830). The F2 sat is dying quickly and all channels are going to be moved to the G1 sat with new coding that only the 830 has. Good luck.

All my programming is working just fine. Like harshness said go to DishPointer to set up.

You'll need the new 75cm dish and 75cm xku lnb . Bring that down to Mesa along with whatever receiver you have.

I suggest you set your account and installation in Canada before you leave.

Mike that's exactly whats happening. All Citytv stations in Canada that have the same programming on at the same time as Calgary Citytv, get switched to ch 199 (Calgary) which is on G1. Plus you have to be careful when setting up a recording. If I go to the guide and just hit the record button...

I did a receiver refresh down in Mesa 2 weeks ago. Everything is working fine on F2 except the canadian simsubs.
