Warner, Fox, Disney to Launch Streaming Sports Joint Venture

These providers/channels must understand that a lawsuit would not be successful and a waste of time, so they try and get Congress involved-...

Traditional Providers Losses, 1st Quarter 2024 Edition

Altice ( formerly Cablevision) lost 78,000 video subs ( also has losses in broadband). So, with just 4 Providers reporting, video losses this quarter are at 1,034,000 with a lot left to report, for example, DirecTV has been averaging 500,000 lost every quarter the last 3 years, so we...

Recovering My Dish Network Equipment Schematic wise

I believe this to be a prank of some type, he has started multiple threads about this subject for 2 years now, here is my original response to him- You seem to get shocked a lot- So you have gone from almost being electrocuted and wanting to sue to laughing about it weeks later...

Bally Sports RSNs Are Reportedly Preparing For Bankruptcy

Because you criticize and I thought that you would appreciate a link to a real newspaper. I guess my mistake.

Bally Sports RSNs Are Reportedly Preparing For Bankruptcy

No, but will be soon, no Broadcast/Cable Channel can exist without enough revenue, the NY Area is actually more affected by Cord Cutting, because they have better access to Broadband, not just Cable Broadband, but 5G Services also. The 5G Companies reported that NY City was one of their biggest...

Bally Sports RSNs Are Reportedly Preparing For Bankruptcy

As I have written before, they cannot survive without the per sub fees, since the providers that carry them, are the ones who are losing the most subscribers With those rate of losses, they have till the end of 2025 before all of them are unprofitable, including the team owned RSNs, who will...

Bally Sports RSNs Are Reportedly Preparing For Bankruptcy

It is a blog, not real journalism. Here is the same story, that a actual newspaper did on the subject from back home- https://www.freep.com/story/sports/mlb/tigers/2024/05/01/comcast-diamond-sports-group-contract-detroit-tigers-xfinity-bsd/73522000007/

New Amazon show in production - Fallout

Have you watch more yet, I stopped at episode 5, not sure if I will finish it, started to feel like I was watching extreme violence first, while searching for a story to justify the violence.

NBA’s new TV Deal looks to go to Streaming

Just read, ESPN’s deal is for $2.6B, NBC is at $2.5B. So, I would assume Amazon is about $3B, so all together, $8.1 Billion per year. NBA was hoping $5-6 Billion total for the new deal.

    Peacock TV

I only have it for exclusive Michigan Football and NFL Sunday Night, I can watch that OTA, but the picture quality (game is in real 1080P on Peacock.) is so much better.

NBA’s new TV Deal looks to go to Streaming

New service at $40 with Fox+Disney+Warner, then +Peacock at $7.99/$13.99 (without commercials). So $47.99 to $53.99, so close to your $50.

DISH and Cox Media Group Reach New agreement!

I know all that, I care nothing for Florida’s teams, but now a moot point, MLB does a better job on me then Melatonin. The only sport I watch now is Football, do not need a RSN for that.

    Roku decides to ruin pausing

TCL, like Sony and everyone else, makes lower and higher end TVs, but at a better price. But, they no longer make Roku TV, just Google because it was cheaper to license then Roku for the OS. I have no idea who makes the TVs for Roku today, but they do have a high end, the Roku Pro Series (mini...

DISH and Cox Media Group Reach New agreement!

Yes, your way is definitely more scientific then the methods Nielsen uses. RSNs have lost about 55-60 Million subscribers ( out of 100 Million), if people cared that much about them, then services that carry them, their losses would not be as bad as they are, people would subscribe...

DISH and Cox Media Group Reach New agreement!

they are all live action that I listed. One of the reasons why RSNs are failing, people are tired of paying extra for a channel that they never/hardly ever watch.

DISH and Cox Media Group Reach New agreement!

Yep, right now I am fine, I get all the network/cable channel shows ( along with the streaming shows) with just the services, when Football Season starts, probably try that new Live TV Sports Service or YTTV for the 5 months. More than that, Star Wars:Skeleton Crew is this year also, for...

NBA’s new TV Deal looks to go to Streaming

As I posted. Warner has first refusal and can match, but cannot afford, last year, as the article says, paid $1.2 billion last year, $1.3 Billion more is a big increase. But, like I wrote, they cannot afford to lose it either. By the way, the NBA is getting a lot more for the these new deals...

DISH and Cox Media Group Reach New agreement!

Actually that analogy works both ways, people do not find enough content on linear services to keep them subscribing, so they leave and go to the streaming services. That is why the RSNs are failing, not enough care. I dropped paid Live TV since the streaming services already have the vast...
