Bally Sports RSNs Are Reportedly Preparing For Bankruptcy

Not like Pittsburgh has. But some portions have changed notably. The Flats are nicer, for certain. I was in the Tremont area and it was redeveloped housing wise in the few years since I was there, I hardly recognized that I had been there. Other areas have been getting redeveloped for housing...

Bally Sports RSNs Are Reportedly Preparing For Bankruptcy

Funny how Ergan was first to this party of shoving the RSNs off as a must carry. Browns owner wants a new stadium, and want $1 billion or so in public dollars. The Haslam's have effectively doomed the long-term future of the team with a short-term gamble with Watson, that hasn't paid off well...

    Dish Anywhere and Folders

Now that you say that, for my case, I had two races in the folder. One of them, an older event, was individually visible down the list of programming in the App. But the more recent event was not.

    Dish Anywhere and Folders

I've noticed an odd thing. I was trying to start a recording on Dish Anywhere, and I couldn't see the recording. I checked the schedule and it said it was there. Went to the receiver, and it was recorded, but stored in the racing folder I created. Is Dish Anywhere unable to see programs put in...

    Auto Racing 2024

Bodies falling from the sky at the Barber road course during the race this past weekend. Well, a body... of a mannequin, but it was side swiped by one car. An interesting race. Still a good deal of discussion regarding the cheating scandal. Newgarden and McLaughlin took it on the chin (and...

Dish contract ends 28Apr2024 - any reason to renew?

Man, I still have the 2012 Carling Cup final on my EHD. Three or four Super Bowls. And I still need to watch The Godfather Part II, which I recorded way back then as well.

    Auto Racing 2024

Usually the scandals stick with NASCAR for this and that in cheating with the tech. But Indycar just got slammed, as Penske's cars were punished for manipulating the Push to Pass system on their cars. Push to Pass is a gimmick that provides bonus horsepower for about a total of 180 seconds for...

What the Cable Industry used to say about Cord Cutting

I wish it'd stop being called "cutting the cord", unless it is on Dish's new 5G streaming service, exclusive to Boost Infinite subscribers. ;) People didn't cut the cord, they went a la carte (older people) or they never got the cord (younger people). A great deal of people want access to...

    Auto Racing 2024

LONG BEACH! IMSA on Saturday, IndyCar on Sunday. For IMSA, Bourdais et al made a pass and that was about it. A fun race overall, but not too much happening up front. Indycar, Rasmussen crashed on lap 17, half the field pitted, half didn't. And the yellows were happening, so the pit stop...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

I worked in one old tall building with Boost Infinite and my reception wasn't that good. Worked by an exterior wall. We moved recently into a different old(er) tall building, I'm not that far from an exterior wall and my reception is just fine. I don't know if they improved things, because I do...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

75% means many things. 75 out 100. It is an average grade in school, while it is approaching a 1 to 1 grade for a road. 75% isn't common in elections and usually is only for zoo or park levies.

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

So lenders are shifting loans to Dish/Echostar potentially with the spectrum leveraged because of the first amendment. I woulf have guessed Ergen has something ready to announce that will indicate a more sustainable revenue stream via the 5G and network he has laid out.

    AT&T Data Breach

No, I said it was frustrating. These companies lost our information, we are at risk... and there has been little to no reaction to failures in managing large swaths of personal data STILL. There might be a bit of elevated language tones in any number of Congressional hearings, but nothing past...

    AT&T Data Breach

As an FYI, if you feel the need to lock your credit report, you don't trust any of the other systems to work. Your point is wrong because everyone is getting / has been hacked. Even my minor daughter's data is floating out there because some company (presumably health care) lost it. Really...

    Anyone here into retro gaming?

I'd say that there used to be a time where getting the ROMs wasn't nearly as risky as it is today. Fishing for that stuff comes at a large security risk (you get what you pay for). The other thing to consider, some of the devices being sold with all of these games can very likely have something...

    AT&T Data Breach

Personally, it is exhausting to do the double, triple, quadruple, bioauthentication on numerous services, utilities, etc... And the provider, service company, utility, etc... just give up the whole list. These people don't need to hack into accounts, they just need to hack into the server.

    AT&T Data Breach

Because small companies getting hacked don't make the news. Also, ransomware isn't commonly revealed to the public. I've got to imagine banks need to have robust online security.

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

Well, that article did a good job copying the other articles on the subject. Ergen's future remains tied to the monetization of the 5G network. That is where the growth in revenue is available. With revenue growth comes lending viability and the issue of debt starts to fade. The questions...
