    IIRC when I first saw the feature the popup message an option to set it to automatic. It did take me some digging to find it in the menus so I could turn it off if I wanted to.

    I can pause the stream and skip ahead and back but I can't record the stream. If I push Info it says no recording.

    Yes. Not all channels will switch to streaming. Your locals for example.

    It's automatic. When signal loss occurs for a certain period of time the Hopper will switch to streaming automatically.

    Autohop is only available on PTAT.

    Signal Protector is a very nice feature that applies to satellite delivered channels. Some one posted a link to the list on the Dish website. Autohop has been around for a long time before this update.

    It works well. Automatically switches to streaming when the signal is gone for some period of time and starts slightly before the current position. DVR functions are all there.

    I don't need to. I have some tree issues that cause the Signal Protector to activate.

    I found the setting on the Diagnostic page. Press Home 3x then Network then Internet settings the Advanced tab. The feature can be turned on and off here.

    No it all happens on the same channel on the Hopper. The message says it streams over the internet.

    I'm only aware of WE channel 128. I'm sure there are others.
