a lot of times this has to do with the sequence in which the handshake is made. You could try manually powering your TV on first, then turn the Joey on and see if the issue persists. However, i would agree, best way to fix this is to get a newer TV.
These STB outbound calls are made when the receiver sends back health data over the course of weeks or months and they can determine the signal strength or MoCA quality is dropping over time and at such a rate where system functionality will be impacted. These are legit calls and DISH is trying...
Did you enable IR Reception on the Joey through the Remote Control menu? I haven't used one of these hubs but I did a little reading online...I'm assuming that you would only see the Hopper online since the Joeys are using the Hopper's IP connection, can you take the IP address from the Joey...
If you hit pause, how long does it remain paused before it resumes live TV? It could be your hard drive if it's failing, but are you having other issues with recording, trick play, the guide? You can always try rebooting the box as well.
I mean, the hardware isn't sufficient to run YouTube without experiencing a poor user experience, so logically I would assume they are not going to retroactively change the hardware in an existing product to add YouTube, but instead maybe the new models going forward will the juice to run it...
Dish isn't working on adding You Tube to any existing Joeys. Future Joeys, maybe? However, I would never expect to see You Tube on Joey 1,2,3, or 4k Joeys .
Who is your ISP at home? There were lots of issues regarding this type of issue years ago with 722ks and sling adapters and usually it was a security feature on the router that was limiting or blocking full connectivity. Usually this issue was related to UPNP and firewall settings on ATT 2 Wire...
When software is rolled out by Dish, it is rolled in waves to ensure it doesn't crash and burn. This Wally may not have been targeted yet for the update. I'm sure it will update itself in the near future.
I would check the amber/yellow light on the receiver. If it is illuminated under the single TV option, then that is the problem. The amber/yellow light should be illuminated under the double TV and you change that by pressing the MODE button behind the door on the front of the 722k.
