Waiting for my DNS waiver's at D*. I have both at the moment and when I get my waivers I will drop the E* HD only pack. It is worth the switch to me for SpeedHD.

I would bet that very few sports bars have Dish. Direct has the Sports thing covered.

Since late summer of 2003 with a 6000U, then an 811 on it's release and hen the 622 on it's release. I now have the HD only pack with E* and an HR-21 with D* for all other programming.

Charlie needs to add Fox News in HD right NOW. If he does not it just proves that he is a left leaning liberal. That would explain WHY he will not add SciFI, as the show everyone wants is a military based show glorifying the military. I demand equal news HD for all sides. ' ' ' ' ' ' ' '...

I called and dropped the protection plan. I cannot get out of the Lease fee as my 622 is leased, doesn't matter that is now the first and only E* receiver I have. So i am now at 47 and change. Thanks for saving me 4.95.

...I want. My reason was SpeedHD. I am a fanatic about racing and I couldn't bare the thought of watching another season of GrandAm and ALMS on the overcompressed blurry channel on E*. I just took Charlie's advice on the last Chat. If some other provider has a channel you want, go there instead...

They told me I also have to pay a fee for my 622 lease and I also have the Home protection thing. So I am now at 52 and change. Anybody that thinks the package is 29.95 is just wrong.

Yes, I was wanting only the locals. And it is not possible according to the CSR I spoke with so I now have the 52.00+ HD only pack, but only as long as it takes to get my DNS waivers.

Well I found out that 29.95 mis a bit misleading. It is 29.95 plus 4.95 (locals) plus 4.95 (Home Protection) plus 4.95 (DVR) plus 4.95 (622 lease charge). Needless to say, don't expect your bill to just be 29.95. Come on DNS waivers.

Is this possible, along with the DVR charge? I have a D* install tomorrow and it will take some time for my DNS waivers to process. I have become too mush of an HD-snob and want to keep E* around for my locals until not needed anymore.

I am going to drop down to this on Saturday. My D* install is then but it will take approx. 45 days for my DNS waivers to come through so I am going to keep E* just for HD locals. I figure I will have to go about 2 months and then drop E* entirely. I will miss some of the Voom channels but it...

...in their package along with a dual tuner DVR. I would get their stuff over fiber and it comes with locals from not only Topeka, my DMA, but also KC and Wichita. I have been with E* for a long time and I love the 622, but if one of your favorite passions is racing SpeedHD is a very big thing.

Too bad this is the wrong season. But it does capture the spirit of the season. ;)

Anybody have a working code for this receiver that will work for my VIP622 remote? My Wife is complaing about having to use 2 remotes. All the ones E* lists do not work.

Speed HD was actually launched last Thursday, 2/7/2008. You are a week late. And also, I wouldn't hold your breath waiting on E*.

Thanks for sharing the E* response, Tom. I especially like the "but we do not know if or when this will happen" part. Unlike E* I know what will happen if I don't see Speed before the Rolex and ALMS starts in March. I hope D* has some kind of promotion going in that time frame.

To get it in time for the Twin's on Thursday would be great but they MUST have it in time for the next Rolex race and ALMS in March. Hopefully that will come to pass.

After my above post I did run another check and it found 129, finally. But the channels were kinda of hit and miss as to whether they would work. After a day of sunshine on Sunday everything is back to working again. Must have been some ice missed on the lnb. Thanks guys.
