DISH Hacked - Websites are BACK ONLINE!

I trust you realize that the costs of printing and mailing paper bills are merely part of the "cost of business" that is passed on to all of us...? You can still pay manually on-line on the date you choose. Unless your real motive is to support the USPS then I suggest you switch to electronic...

DISH Hacked - Websites are BACK ONLINE!

I got an e-mailed past due notice yesterday, on the evening of the day my payment was due. No $hit Einstein, I'd been trying to pay online (like I always do, several days ahead of the due date) for a couple of days with the usual site reporting that is was OOS. In that past due notice there...

Any hope for a return of ATTSN?

My apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere but a quick search didn't turn up anything. Dish removed ATTSN, my RSN (channel 428), from my line-up in central PA. This channel carried Penguins and Pirates games amongst other content. I read there was a dispute and the channel was removed...

Retirement investment (or how to afford a Tesla)

Don...your 3-part plan doesn't mention long-term care insurance. Where do you weigh in on that? I'm in that "donut hole" where I have enough assets to protect but not enough to completely self-insure. Older folks might not have an option but those under 60 might still be able to find an...

    Tesla Cybertruck

I'm less concerned about looks than function. If it can't haul a 1/2 cord of wood in the bed then I'm not interested...! Sent from my LM-V405 using the SatelliteGuys app!

Tesla vs Ford & General Motors

As an owner of a full-size "guzzler" (Sierra 1500 x-cab 4x4) I'm hoping this is true. It may not lower the cost of ownership but it might slow the rate of increases and/or extend the viability of ICEs. I've been quite interested in a BEV or PHEV for my next car (shopping now, current 15-year...

    Celebrating 15 Years!

Congrats Scott! I think I've been around for about a decade...wow how that time has flown...we must all be having a great time! It was a pleasure meeting you and Eva in Hartford a few years back...and I enjoyed the tour of "SatGuys Command Central"! Keep up the great work...you can count on...

Cold front in the theoretical place of eternal damnation

In my GMC truck I was able to program over the channel numbers with text, so "SXM 26" became "Classic V" (limit on the number of characters). Tedious but worth the effort to "name" all 25 presets I assigned. Does Subaru allow something similar? Sent from my LG-E980 using the SatelliteGuys app!

Intermittent signal...is it equipment or the service?

Hi all. I hope I'm not asking a question that was already answered, but a quick search didn't turn up anything. My only experience with SXM is with my '14 Sierra...and the Android app that comes with the subscription. For 3+ years it worked flawlessly. Recently I started experiencing a...

Legendary Broadcaster Keith Jackson Dies at age 89

If memory serves Keith Jackson was behind the mike when Penn State beat Georgia to win their 1st Championship in the 82/83 Sugar Bowl. I didn't hear that broadcast live...I was in the stadium...but I think I remember him on the recording we made. Trouble was...the guy who made the tape forgot...

    Tesla Model 3 production begins!

Tks Don...and Ilya! I'm really enjoying this thread however. My son's in laws have a '14 Tesla S. I was very impressed, but it's well beyond my means, and like Don I don't think a pure EV will suit my foreseeable driving patterns.

    Tesla Model 3 production begins!

Don...is your Honda considered AWD? I believe I read it has 2 motors. I'm starting to get itchy for new wheels...my very reliable Subie Turbo is 12 y.o. now. I'm thinking hybrid but it has to be AWD...and have at least as much ground clearance as my Outback... And in spite of what I just...

Idea for electric cars recharging stations

Interesting thought: Some states - NJ, perhaps others? - don't allow self-service gas stations. Only attendants are allowed to pump gas. I wonder if that will carry over to "refueling" EVs...?

    Swap 722k remotes?

I phrase situations like this...and "free 2-day shipping" with Prime...as "at no additional cost". This thread prompted me to chat Dish to get a new remote for my "new" (refurb) 211K. Same result..."free", UPS 2-3 days, and no need to return the old one. I realize DHPP is largely a...

What was your first sports memory?

I remember my cub pack taking us to a Pirates game at Forbes field in '60. Don't remember much about the game except that I had a seat behind a pillar so I had to move around to see everything. I ate too much junk and barfed! I still have the ticket stubs in a scrapbook. Of course that was...
