Heh, my 87W is an old DirecTV slimline. CNN stuff and FL lottery still there but LPB and Florida not so much, they were all just fine when I put it up a couple months ago.

Those persistent CNN feeds that usually are outdoor camera views have been showing the occasional Trump rally and other newsworthy events.

Nothing on LPB or Florida when I was checking last night.

A large portion of what's on FreeSat is equivalent to local broadcast channels here. Some (BBC) paid for via the licence fees and others (ITV, CH4, etc) I think sell ads. But in the US, each broadcast channel has a specific "territory" that it "owns" and their agreements with the networks state...

Well. Issues solved, or at least a whole lot better now! And despite causing myself some embarrassment, I will detail what the fixes are. First, I disassembled the feedhorn from the LNB and inspected it. There was some dirt built up inside. I thoroughly cleaned all of this and reassembled...

Is it always 22.6 degrees, is that part of the math that makes these things work, or is the exact angle determined by the shape and size of the particular dish? None of my other more oval style dishes seem to be anywhere near that much of an angle. Skew is not an option with this dish design...

Thanks for that. According to Figure 3.0 "Feed Assembly" it looks like I have it assembled correctly. Parts 11, 12, 13 are missing, replaced with zip-ties ;)

I do believe I have tried that and the position in that photo is where it gets the best signal. It's also where it actually fits. The top piece to hold it in place has always been missing, thus the zip-ties, but it fits exactly in that spot based on the size of the bottom piece which it sits on...

I bought one of the cheaper ones recently V8 Finder 2. It's definitely not as functional as one of those ridiculously expensive meters that gives you all the db levels or whatever and it's not smart enough to figure out which satellite you're pointed at. But it does what I need which is keeping...

Just checked my notes. I was able to get BYU and BVN with a dish that size. With a slightly larger (SuperDish 105) I am getting basically everything there.

I concur with comfortably_numb here. An Amiko or other small, inexpensive receiver would definitely do the job, and you could fit several of them on a rack shelf. Maybe you want to provide a few more channels in the future.
