STREAMING SATURDAY: Dune Part Two (the unpopular view)

Movie sucked in my opinion, but what does this have to do with streaming ? Is it just because it is on MAX, because it was also at Theaters and on HBO.

What happened to the bigger Echostar 25 satellite?

The last one launched, was Echostar 24 in 2023, but that was for Hughes. There is a list on this page- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EchoStar#Satellite_fleet

What happened to the bigger Echostar 25 satellite?

It was just ordered last year, definitely was not going to launch this year- The ES XXV satellite is expected to be ready for launch to geostationary orbit (GEO) “within the next few years,” Dish Network spokesperson Ted Wietecha said. A launch provider was not announced...

That was just because of the Transporter, nothing to do with the mirror ( or any other) universe, also, never determined who was the duplicate. https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Thomas_Riker

Bally Sports RSNs Are Reportedly Preparing For Bankruptcy

Hearing was set for June 18, now delayed till the end of July, with hopes that it can get deals worked out with Comcast ( who is not budging it seems) the NBA and the NHL, those deals have basically expired. They are also losing money on the Tiger’s TV contract, since Fox Sports Detroit’s...

    How things have changed

Back to how things have changed, this is from my former home state- There are just 1.29 million households left in Michigan that still pay for cable TV, according to an annual report by the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC). That’s the lowest figure the state has ever reported. And...

    How things have changed

That surprises me, I thought they carried all markets, like they do here in Orlando, I just never watch them live except for Football. As far as certain CBS shows, prefer watching them next day, since a lot of them are in 4K on P+, plus commercials are gone.

    How things have changed

Wait till the next step, when you realize all that content on YTTV is available on the streaming services, plus all the streaming shows/movies, in better quality and less expensive. How it was for me, Cable/Satellite, then Playstation Vue/YTTV, to just the services like Paramount+ and the rest...

    How things have changed

Once MAX added CNN, that was the final thing I needed to decide to cancel. Until September, then back for ESPN/Big Ten/Fox Sports, since College Football /Big Ten/NFL is so spread around the other services.

    Star Trek Discovery

Next Generation and Voyager avoided the Mirror Universe, but definitely had Time Travel.

    How things have changed

Comcast and DirecTV are about the same totals in pricing. Yet, the 3 of them account for the majority of subscribers leaving Traditional Paid Live TV. Keep paying more and more for less and less new scripted content and a bunch of reruns that are available for free on services like Pluto TV.

    NFL 2024-2025 Season

Since YTTV picked up 1.9 Million new subs last year, some would assume, was because of YTTV having ST, plus the fact it is a great service at a much less expensive price.

    Spring Cleaning?

Considering how I was snapped at last time about this, not sure I should bring it up, but again, just want to point out the DirecTV General Forum has not had a new post since May 21, the tech forum since May 22. They really should all be combined like the Dish Network Forum, which has a lot...

    How things have changed

I personally liked YTTV, but my issue was the lack of new content on Broadcast/Cable Channels. When I was getting that content plus the streaming exclusives on the streaming services, became a easy decision to drop it. Yes, I have way too many services, Hulu/Disney+/ESPN, Paramount+...

Bally Sports RSNs Are Reportedly Preparing For Bankruptcy

Everything in all these articles about Diamond, I have been posting here for about a year now. The one thing not mentioned, even if Comcast makes a deal, followed by all the sports leagues, Cable/Satellite is still expected to lose about 7 Million subs this year, 8 Million next year, largely...
