Any takers for watchOS 11.0? I’m seeing a reduction in battery life on my Series 8. I used to be able to go almost two days without needing to charge, but since installing v11.0 it seems that I need to charge it daily.
I guess I need to as well. I’m trying out the iPhone Mirroring and it’s working. Nice that I can use iPhone Apps from my MacBook without needing to grab the phone off the charger.
iOS 18 was released today, along with iPadOS 18, watchOS 11, tvOS 18, macOS Sequoia 15.0, visionOS 2.0, etc., etc., etc. Also, for those not ready to update to the latest OSes, there are new point releases for covered devices.
I sous vide two Kansas City strip steaks for my birthday this weekend and had a oopsie in that one of the bags had leaked! The steaks were finished on the grill and were a little drier than I expected, so whether this was caused by the containment breach I couldn’t say since only one bag leaked...
Mrs. Foxbat and I have been binging “The Office” Superfans Editions on Peacock. We’re into Season 7 and apparently the Superfans Edition treatment stops after Steve Carrell leaves the show.
I’ve had good luck with the chat. First email offer arrived, $5/mo for Music & Entertainment, with a free up-lift to the Platinum Plan. That’s good for 12 months.
My old fallback of streaming SiriusXM through CarPlay took a hit. The same crappy UI redesign has hit the iPhone through CarPlay. No...
In the Reddit thread, the question came up about what would happen in the event the vehicle you applied this to were to be totaled? No refund, but this can be transferred to another vehicle with a SiriusXM radio. I expect the same would be true on a Leased vehicle that were returned.
Mrs. Foxbat and I are watching along. It took me a second to figure out that James Callis was the new Director. A shame he gets type-cast as this sniveling bureaucrat who proves the Peter Principle.
I feel bad that I got excited it might be Alexander Siddig, but nope, not him.
We used Okta as an Authentication App so I already had that loaded, but I also have Microsoft Authentication as well as Google Authentication Apps loaded and available. If this is available, you can load these on a tablet instead of requiring a phone and sending SMS texts.
I usually get the previous generation iPhone for $100 off the old list price. Mrs. Foxbat and I both have the iPhone 13 (I’ve had mine for a few years while we upgraded her iPhone 10S last year). My iPhone 13 is still doing everything I need or want it to do, and its speed is still fast, plus...
In other news, the Black Hats are using this Verizon news to target Frontier customers to “scare” users into clicking a link to “install the 2024 App” before their “FRONTIER email access is removed 0n September 07”. I had to provide Tech Support to talk the Frontier user off the ledge. Another...
My primary concern is my TV showing me TV-hosted Ads. My LG OLED is a TV set running webOS, no Ads. Okay, there are cards for movies on the home page on my C2 OLED, so I guess I can’t be all high-and-mighty. I heard Google TV was putting non-media ads on the home page. That was enough to put me...
So, is it deceptive advertising for DirecTV to run television ads claiming to have “the biggest bowl games” considering many are hosted on Disney-owned channels, channels that DirecTV no longer has the rights to broadcast?
I’ll drink to that!🍻
Happy Day to Commemorate the Existence of SatelliteGuys.US! I have not been here since Day One, but I heard about this site, made the switch, and haven’t looked back.
For those like me who don’t understand that sentence, could you please elaborate? I thought DTS was a type of surround-sound encoding. And “play-fi” sounds like a Google feature, not Dish.
At least I grok “TuneIn”…🙂
I am visiting my DirecTV friend and her receiver will not play any of the MC channels (802-851) on her Entertainment package. This just disappeared this afternoon.
Can anyone else verify?
