    DirecTV& DishNetwork

I had the Genie 2 and 6 4K minis installed today. I’m sure it’s opinion vs opinion but I feel like DirectTV has a better picture. I’ll do them side by side later next week as I’m going to keep a Hopper 3 downstairs. Anyone else feel the picture is slightly better? I do have one other question…...

    DirecTV& DishNetwork

No they completely understood but like I said I didn’t buy that. Just going to try additional wiring in basement and 1st floor and wireless upstairs.

    DirecTV& DishNetwork

Thanks all, I spoke with a sales rep and they said they could share the same wiring but use a splitter. I don’t buy anything they say so I’m going to go ahead and try the Genie 2 with two wired for 4K and one wireless and see how that goes or what option or opinions they give. Thanks

    DirecTV& DishNetwork

Understood, just asking about general performance with wireless not 4K.

    DirecTV& DishNetwork

Yes, actually have 8 4K TVs but I’d only want 4K on a couple as I know content is limited and for sports I generally only use two of the 8. I guess I could do one wired in basement and the other two I could try wireless. Just curious how well the work wirelessly. Anyone have experience with...

    DirecTV& DishNetwork

So if the Genie 2 is a server and nothing connects directly… I assume that means no 4K if you have the genie 2?

    DirecTV& DishNetwork

Thought of that but wanted to explore other options as well. Happy wife, Happy life. Anyone have any info on the Genie 2? Not sure of the technical name but looks like a server but not clear if everything connects wirelessly or or if it uses some other tech.

    DirecTV& DishNetwork

Yeah I knew it would be different inputs but didn’t like the idea of having new wiring thru whole house. I would need one in basement, ground floor and upstairs. That is why was curious about the genie 2 If they couldn’t share the same wiring.

    DirecTV& DishNetwork

I currently have Dish with 2 Hoppers 3’s and several Joey’s. I love it the Hopper’s, DVR and 4 channel split screen. Wife does not want to change. What I dislike is the lack of sports. Bally sports, nfl ticket etc. Is is possible to have both DirecTV and Dish in the same house. My first thought...

    2021 Dish Prices

I also have 2 Hopper 3's. Mine was escalated as well but they did confirm that the system was wrong and should only be 5.00 for the second H3. The level 2 from loyalty seemed to indicate that it was a timing issue as the change was not due to take place until 1/14/21 but for whatever reason the...

    Relocating a Hopper

Yeah, both just on HD 1080, multiview is not being used. I guess maybe a bad Joey then.

    Relocating a Hopper

So I moved or traded locations of a Joey 3.0 and a Hopper 3. Both locations have the same television/model/size/settings. I feel like the H3 picture is better than the J3. I thought this before the move and now I feel the same. Shouldn’t they be the same?

    Relocating a Hopper

Does that mean I would need to do something different than what was suggested? Sent from my iPhone using the SatelliteGuys app!

Also said it’s normally 150.00 for them to do this. Sent from my iPhone using the SatelliteGuys app!

    Relocating a Hopper

I have 2 Hopper 3’s and 1 Joey 3.0. I’d like to switch the location of 1 H3 and Joey (Trade locations). I understand it’s not a simple as a plug and play. I spoke with dish and they want 70.00 for someone to move them because “they would need to reprogram everything to work properly”. Is this...

    Getting Two Hopper 3s

Weird, I had no issue at all from Dish Depot and had the second H3 in 2 days from them.

    Getting Two Hopper 3s

Order separate H3 online from a place like dish-depot. Call DISH and let them know your adding a second H3.

Picture going blank after 4K equipment upgrade.

What TV (model) did you upgrade to? It may only be an 8 or 10 bit panel.

    Dish called - Signal Loss

This is legit. They did the same with me. No cost and they didn’t attempt to sell a single thing.
