    Audience Network shutting down

Tru TV might make sense as a place for the DP Show since B/R Live is also under the Turner umbrella. I hope the show stays on DirecTV. It's one of the few sports talk shows that doesn't have hosts yelling and talking over each other.

Stuttering and pixelation on CBS Alabama - Auburn game

It just cleared up like someone flipped a switch. I had checked my spot beam signals and they were fine. Picture is OK now.

Stuttering and pixelation on CBS Alabama - Auburn game

Is anyone else seeing problems on CBS signal with the SEC game? My CBS local is Colorado Springs. It started about 30 minutes ago. I have not seen it on any other channel so far.

Pixelation and loss of signal on ESPN and other channels

Thanks for the useful information you've provided. I would imagine that there are procedures that have to be followed also. You can't just jump in and start trying random things on a system that affects millions of viewers. There is always the possibility of breaking it worse than it already is.

Pixelation and loss of signal on ESPN and other channels

Looks like the SD versions are OK. It took me a while to figure out where to unhide those. In screwing around I figured out I had the ACC Network now here in Colorado. I wonder when they added that?

Pixelation and loss of signal on ESPN and other channels

About an hour ago I began to notice pixelation and dropouts on all the ESPN channels and several others. The local (Colorado Springs) channels are fine. I checked my satellite signal meter and they all seem normal. I checked the DirecTV technical forum and a number of people from all over the US...

    Refund For Dropped Channels?

That's interesting considering that viewership for the Big 4 networks has been in a steady decline this decade and no end is in sight. I guess they think they can squeeze the carriers indirectly through the local affiliates to make up for lost revenue. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Finally ordered 4K thru Directv

I know the commercials have weasel words like "the first step on the road to 5G". However, my damn phone says "5GE" not "LTE-A", which is what it really is. The entire campaign is nothing but deception on a grand scale.

    Finally ordered 4K thru Directv

I will take your word for it but I could even see detail in the grass on the field from the 50 yard line camera. It sure looked better than 1080P. How about the NBA and MLB games. Are they in true in 4K?

    Finally ordered 4K thru Directv

I had 4k for a while but dropped it because my wife hated the visible wires on the wall mounted TV and my stupid builder only installed a wall mounted 120 volt receptacle and not a coax jack where the TV is mounted. There just wasn't that much worth watching in 4k a year ago. I watched some of...

Moving receivers around in my house?

Thanks, glad the receiver move went well. Yes, the clients tend to be a bit sluggish when compared with the Genie.

Moving receivers around in my house?

I am curious why you gave up on the 4K receiver? Probably for the same reasons I did: lack of 4K content and a lot of buffering. Also, I wanted a wireless client.

Moving receivers around in my house?

You don't need a coax connected where the C61K was connected (second one from the left). You want to put a 75 ohm type F male terminator like the one on the last port of your splitter. You can find them for $0.75 each on line. Any electronics store store should sell them.

Moving receivers around in my house?

OK, your system is very similar to mine. The leftmost port on the bottom is probably the HR54. The second one is the C61K and port 3 is the network adapter (DECA). Port 4 is open and has terminating resistor connected. What you want to do is disconnect the coax from port 1 and when you move your...

Moving receivers around in my house?

Yes, you can move them but if the HR54 is being used to power the SWM at the dish you need to make sure it ends up being connected to the same port on the splitter. The HR54 injects DC on the coax going to the splitter. The port on the splitter is identified by a red line connecting the...

I want to swap a 4k Mini Genie for a Wireless Mini - DTV says no

Yes, you are correct. I watched the tech set up the mini and he selected replacement during the setup. I am sure that's why the favorites list was preserved.

I want to swap a 4k Mini Genie for a Wireless Mini - DTV says no

My swap on the Genie mini's went OK. The box and HDMI cable are now tucked behind the TV. The wife is happy. I found out something I didn't know. Apparently the favorite channel lists for the mini are stored in the Genie and not the client. The new wireless mini came up with all the favorites...

I want to swap a 4k Mini Genie for a Wireless Mini - DTV says no

DTV is coming tomorrow to do the swap on the Genie Minis at no charge. You just have to be persistent and keep using the CS chat until you get the right person.
