I'm seeing a mix of SMS and RCS. It must default back to whichever standard everyone in a group text supports. One on one with a non iPhone I do see RCS. Some of my friends must have really old Android phones.

I put 11.0 on my Series 9 the other day along with all the others. So far I haven't noticed any battery difference but I put mine on the charger every night when I go to bed. Series 10 will be here tomorrow along with the 16 Pro. I know the phone won't change much if at all but I'm curious...

Installed the new OS everywhere yesterday. Don't see a lot that I care about so far. I do like being able to remove the camera shortcut from the lock screen on the phone, I was hitting that by accident frequently. More home screen customization available but I'm accustomed to my current layout.

Got a new case in the mail today, there is a hole where the new camera button is supposed to be.

I have found that applies to most financial institution online interaction. iOS has gotten pretty good about recognizing the code and filling it in for you. Since switching from Chrome to Safari on my Mac, Safari does it as well.

I think of it as leasing the phone. Has worked for me since the carriers dropped the subsidies. It is the only debt I carry.

I think it is mostly us old folks buying them. I don't actually buy mine, make monthly payments for a year and then send it back when the new one arrives.

Not sure how useful that new camera button will be as I always have mine in a case. The Apple case is supposed to work with it, but I don't generally buy their cases anymore.

I am in the annual upgrade program. Process already started on the 16 Pro in Natural Titanium. Order to be completed Friday morning.

Well, that changes things for me. I do like what they appear to have done with the display. Decent trade-in on my Series 9. :)

Now I'm confused. Series 10 is supposed to be available in both 42mm or 46mm. There was no mention of that in the presentation this morning.

Not a fan of the Apple Watch 10 'one size fits all' approach. I have always warn the smaller size. I assume the bands I currently own will not fit the new one either. Doubtful I will pull the trigger on the 10 as long as my 9 keeps working.

So far the apps on my TV supply most of my needs. Occasionally AppleTV has better visual or audio.

Not renewed for another season. The second season was kind of a mess anyway.

Can't recall ever seeing any non-media ads on my current Sony, 2020 model. Not sure if it is a setting somewhere. Of course all the apps show teasers for their latest content.

My last purchase was between Sony and LG. PART of my decision to go with Sony was LG's use of webOS. I had read a lot critical of that OS. Even to the point of certain apps not being available on the LG. Probably time to examine all the options in a few more years. Hopefully Panasonic will be...
